Certain scents and essences do have an uplifiting or stimulant properties. When I am down I like spicy scents to create an uplifting mood.

Our mind does not discriminate between a scent and how we should respond to it. Rather, our individual histories, locked within the recesses of our mind, govern our responses and our feelings. This theory, called “learned-odor response,” is why the same aroma can affect us each quite differently. A scent that triggers good memories for one person may revisit painful memories for another.

I agree. Bubblegum smell reminds of a nasty medicine I had to take as a child. My mom gave it to me and I threw it up and all I can remember is that smell being everywhere. So now that smell just makes me nauseas.

A drop or two of marjoram oil on my pillow ensures a good night's rest. For a quick pick-me-up, I spray a mixture of tangerine oil and water into the air around me.....or spicy rosemary oil to give me energy and clear my mind..Odor molecules influence the brain's limbic system, which affects emotions, memories and such physiological functions as appetite and sex. Odor stimuli in the limbic system also prompt the release of neurotransmitters, including endorphins, which reduce pain, and serotonin, which promotes relaxation.spearmint, pine, eucalyptus and basil, combat fatigue, while marjoram may put you to sleep.

Be careful where you use that one, unless you're into that sort of thing, lol.

Hmmm,  well the soap I am using for now is a cinnamon and oatmeal scrubby bar.  My shampoo is milk and honey scented.  My conditioner is "toasted vanilla and sugar".

So I smell like a cookie.  :-)

I don't do body lotions.  But my fave body scent was one I can't find for the life of me.  It was a cherry cinnamon musk called "satyr" that I used to buy in a lil new-age shoppe in Petoskey called Capricorn Moon.

LOL....reminds me of my ex, who despised "Beautiful".  When I quit my job to get married to him and relocate, they bought me a huge gift basket of....."Beautiful."  But I never wore it, since he hated it.  When he left abruptly to join his fuck buddy and I packed up all his stuff, I soaked it down real well with....."Beautiful."

I know I absolutely adore the scent of vanilla on a girl, delicious, and pure, enticing, yet innocent, conjures up all manner of lovely images, and it deos not hurt that My first slave absolutely loved it, and always smelled like vanilla. To this day I can't have a vanilla coke without getting aroused. And BTW, chymes, I can't believe that anyone would willingly walk away from a lovely redheaded slave! what a pea-brain.

Wellllllllll call me a weirdo but I detest body products that smell like food. BLECK!!  I don't want a woman smelling like fruits and baked goods!

I am really sensitive to scents, no air fresheners, no scented candles, no potpouri, none of that stuff. I am even picky about dryer sheets!

BUT the very mention of the perfume Beautiful did give me wicked ideas. Someone verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry special wears that.

edited to add.......another part of this weirdness is that I actually hold my nose and run past those stinky Bath and Body stores and Vic Secrets, Yankee Candle, etc cuz I just cannot take the smells. They give me monster headaches.

What bugs me about these yummy smelling creams etc is that most of them taste terrible on your skin.  There's no fun in licking skin that smells great only to get that metallic chemical taste.

If you know any creams that dont have an offensive taste, let me know:)

Well...while I wouldn't recommend eating either Jacqua's products or Philosophy's, neither has a bad taste.  But, in terms of the Philosophy products, I was talking about body wash, so the product would presumably be washed off before any tasting would be done.
