hey, $8 an hour beats a hotdog and soda any day! lol
the episode i was an extra for was one filmed in the grand prix race track of miami, it was as cold as it gets here, and we were made to take off our jackets and wear their trademark pastel colors, and pretend it was a hot sunny miami morning! i swear, if it wasn't cause i was infatuated with Don Johnson at the time i would've bailed! lol

i was an extra once for a Miami Vice shoot back in the day, and all i got was a hotdog and soda...lol what crap!

Maybe there are different levels of extra's? When I was young..my dad knew a man who put the sets together for paramount. Anyway, his son was sort of a full time extra. Since we were friends when I had some free time. Anyway...I seem to recall at least about 300 a shoot.
Unless it has been so long I can't remember.

It depends on the policy of the production company, but most extras usually get paid minimum wage plus meals. For large crowd scenes, as has been pointed out, you're lucky if you get fed. A couple of my friends were extras in the Matrix movies, and all they got was sore feet.

Does anyone really believe that tvguy is with the Jerry Springer show and this is how they recruit guests? Why isn't he replying to the posts and defending the show?

Maybe he already got what he was looking for...it could be as simple as that...someone responded and will be on the show...if that's the case...i hope they let us know here in the forum when to watch for them...after all, we might as well see if our fears are well founded.

Another time, when i was in Junior High a film crew went to our school one saturday and we were told to go wearing flashy clothing, so they filmed several scenes, one of a school dance in our school gym, the other one we were getting stuff out of our lockers, and then there was the last scene which they had my friend and i walking out of the school with a few other kids and we were suppose to giggle and walk in different directions ...so, that was my 15 minutes of fame right there lol...however, we did not get paid for it, hell we didn't even get a hotdog & soda come to think of it...lol, but it made for an exciting saturday in our adolescent lives..... i never did get to see that movie, not even sure it ever made it at all, we never heard about it again.

Perhaps it is because we are not the group he was seeking. More educated. Defending the lifestyle.
Bottom line is this man gets paid to slander other human beings. Portray them in the worst light of all. He is proud of his job or he would'nt have come here in the first place spouting off he works for the springer show and is recruiting people. So, he has no shame. Although that doesn't mean he wants a fight either.
There are a lot of sites out there he can post to..and find people.
