illiteracy, stupidty or plain disregard? - 10/20/2006 8:36:20 AM

I don't know what it is that some doms/masters do not get.  I come on here with my master and get messages.  Some are over pictures, some are looking for a slave and I love the rest...those are the are you involved and will you relocate...

So I must ask this.  Are they illiterate?  Can they not read the big bold words that say I am owned?  But then if that was the case they wouldn't have sent a message with near perfect spelling.  Maybe its a momentary lapse of intelligence.  As I ponder that possiblity, I concluded that is only a portion of the people since they skimmed the profile, seen the pic and thought...ooooooo I like this one already... And then I wonder which head was thinking.  Then I ponder the whole disregard option as I come across another message a book long on how this person wishes to be my master.  These are the ones that seem to have only seen the pic and not read a single word on the profile.  And if they did then its plain disregard that I have a master.  In fact I had a master tell me straight up that 'he don't care and wanted me.'  Yes I am a little peeved over that one, but then there is the blocked list.

Don't get me wrong...I don't mind getting messages over my site, asking simple questions or just wanting to chat.  Just don't want to have to waste my time responding that I am owned and then get a response back that its my loss.

So ...  are you busy?  Ya wanna come over?  I kinda like purple women.

Seriously, you seem surprised to find that selfish, self-absorbed people are writing you with their wants and desires and completely ignoring yours.

Just shake your head and block them - if they didn't take the time to read your profile then they aren't going to read your reply telling them what's already in your profile.

I think a lot of this is caused by people who use the "Browse Photo" thing and then don't read profiles, just contacting people who catch their eye.

Although stupidity is pretty rampant.

I might take you more seriously if your ability to use the English language wasn't so limited.

For many, rejection of others is the only path they know of for massaging their own feelings of inferiority.

Hmmmmm, it seems today is one of the days when you have your stick up your ass and have no tolerance for humor.  You're kinda the hot and cold type - fortunately for me, my self-esteem isn't affected if some don't care for my brand of humor; I'm not here to please everyone

Crappy,

Are you in a bad mood, or is this type of attitude just a part of your daily nuptuals?  While i have respect for much of what you have to share, lately, i detect an unhappy camper, but i could be wrong. *smile

Edited because i forgot a comma. *grin

They do it because it works!    How many posts are started with "i left my Master of 18 months to be with my current Master..  and it's not working, should i start seeking another...?"

Despite all claims to the contrary, there are a lot of "owned slaves" that are happy to hop on the next fastest train to their destination.

When someone who cannot write clearly and who in general has a poor grasp of grammar chooses to attack people on the basis of their literacy level, sorry, but I just have to kick over their high horse.

It would be like me starting a thread on how important it is to always be nice to everyone and always turn the other cheek.

Sometimes people snoodge grammar (such as using the word Grapey) to interject a little humor (and yes, I put snoodge in this sentence to drive you nuts)

Personally, I don't need a walking dictionary / thesaurus with a bad attitude following me around drabbling their comments on my posts.

In which depth of self-absorption do you think that I actually give a crapola on your opinions on my grammatication??

The only high horse you see is the one you are sitting on.

And Duh, I put made up words in this post on purpose and misused which / that and even a punctuation goober for good measure.

At least I'm not the only one whom noticed your beeing the ass on that hi horse of you'res

Edited: BTW, maybe you should read the "What do you think?" forum - Tenebirous just described you.

Some may well be illiterate, some may just not reading carefully enough, some may be in a rush. But most  are just horny as hell I suspect. Welcome to the internet.

Why are there so many threads lately by people complaining about the messages they get?  Everyone gets them.  Just delete them and go on with your life.

Er.....I may have misunderstood your post but it wasn't Me doing the complaining, I was answering a question about a complaint.

It might also have to do with how they interpret your nick...
To me it does sound like the first line of a personal add...

Sorry, I didn't mean you.  It was a general comment and I just used the fast reply at the bottom of the page.  I am a new poster (long time lurker!) and am not completely familiar with how the site works.

TGD,

I do believe that CD was refering to the OP and used the 'fast reply' option which only made it appear as if he were replying to your post. That's pretty much confirmed by his later post as well where he speaks of starting threads.
