Andysub1979 -> Just a minor rant. (10/20/2006 7:13:16 PM)

Just a question, but why do most of the female Dommes I've come accross ask for tribute / money before you even start chatting to them? I mean, come on. I'm a 27 year old man. I won't pay for sex with a prostitute, so why should I pay to exchange a few posts on a messenger service, with someone who could quite easily turn out to be a 15 year old schoolkid taking the piss?

Or is this just a British thing?

I'm not asking if there are any free horny chatlines, that's not what I'm looking for. Is a potential friendship too much to ask for? Or, God forbid, possibly even a relationship? Or am I just looking in the wrong place or the wrong way?

Oh my god. NOT ANOTHER ONE!!

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Just a minor rant. (10/20/2006 7:17:53 PM)

We hear this all the time.  And its a little frusterating.  Are you waiting for all of us to take offense and say "Hey, I am not a prodomme... come talk to me!"
I wonder about all these subbie boys who seem to find all the pros online.  With as many non-pros and lifestylers on here, its amazing that the pros get SO many hits.  Maybe I should be jealous, I am not getting enough attention.

I have just sent this to Lorelei115 - I should also explain to the site - so whilst I deserve all teh abuse I get (ome more please?!) don't be too harsh!

Very sorry mistress. I've only just seen the post on the 'Ask a mistress' page, Is there any way I can get my post removed?

Crap. Can't type tonight. Try again

Nope, you can't remove threads.. Sorry if I was harsh, we've just seen a rash of low post count people popping up and asking that same question, and then when we post trying to help them, they disappear! Poof! As DV said, it gets frustrating, especially when you are genuinely trying to help.

So, if you are genuinely looking for help, as you seem to be, I would be glad to offer what assistance I can.

This is how it works. It's all entertainment for you.  Yes, you!  Let me explain. Now, I've visited plenty of upstanding professional DOMs in the past and will do so again as I see their service absolutely invaluable, however I do come across obvious charlatans from time-to-time especially through email and chat.  And, I'll conjecture the reason for this is because you can hide behind bogus profiles and whatnot.  So, let's just say though the course of a particular communication you come to realize you're talking to a swindler of some sort. In this case consider this person to be entertainment just for you.  Tell them you have a pasta fetish and would pay extra money for her to deny you pasta, asker her to tease you by eating pasta over a web cam while you suffer. Or, think of some other silly thing to raise the overall entertainment factor.  I think you get the idea.

Hey, David, read the two replies that I posted to my own posts (ok, just the one without the typo's)

I ALREADY FEEL LIKE A COMPLETE IDIOT - especially after reading the 35 odd posts on (almost the exact same subject) on teh Ask a Mistress site.

Mind you, the Pasta idea is pretty cool!

Obviously because there are some subs who will pay, or perhaps its a way for them to get unwanted contacts to go away.

Hey

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Just a minor rant. (10/20/2006 8:45:56 PM)

Ive never thought about that angle, Arpig.  Maybe thats the way to do it, tel the ones I want to go away that they have to pay to keep talking. Hrm.  If they keep talking, I get some spending money, and if not they go away.  Benefits me both ways.

And dont worry Andy, you arent the first and you definately wont be the last.

I have seen what you (and others) complain about and I do empathize with you Andy, but there isn't a lot I can do about the Pro-Dom situation. I've often thought that CM should have separate areas for Pro-Doms and regular Doms making it easier for all.

LadySeraphina -> RE: Just a minor rant. (10/20/2006 8:49:57 PM)

May I should do that too... I charge for actual sessions, but not to exchange a message or two and get to know one another. Maybe the ones who are clearly just wasting my time should have to pay for every message they want me to respond to. (Or just bother someone else.)

*Please note that I don't mind exchanging messages with friends, it's the wankers who keep asking for info so they can buff their poles that I object to.*

Arpig -> RE: Just a minor rant. (10/21/2006 2:38:41 AM)

Hmmmm, maybe a career oportunity for me in financial advising eh? [;)]

MissyRane -> RE: Just a minor rant. (10/21/2006 4:16:36 AM)

why don't people start by READING OTHER POSTS BEFORE start posting their own *snarl*
oh..Diurnal that's a good idea ..think I should bring up the paypal and a domme profile damn this's fantastic then perhaps I won't need to work over the christmas[:D]

Andysub1979 -> RE: Just a minor rant. (10/21/2006 7:41:41 PM)

Hey MissyRane

Having thought long and hard (?) about it, I can understand why most pro-dommes don't advertise the fact that they require payment, as this would cut down a large percentage of their prospective customers. Equally, I can understand why no Domme (or Dom - I really don't know if male Doms charge?) would wish to have seperate areas for pro's and lifestyle dom/me's - this would open the floodgates for probably hundreds of emails to the  lifestyle  dom (I've heard the figure of 10 male subs to 1 female domme - or was it 100 to 1?)

I guess that what I'm trying to say is that, having considered the arguements from both sides, I can understand why the arrangements are as they are - basically, I need to be a bit more specific with my profile, so genuine dommes (or subs) that I email will know wether I'm worth responding to. Mia culpa, Mia maxima culpa.

(is that the first time either Latin, or a line from Catholic Church confessional has been used on this site? I flatter myself to think that it might be![:D])

So if you have a low number of posts it means "trouble"opening up my BDSM manual and putting rule number 368: make sure you make lotsa posts to be considered real. ....this makes as little sense as the people who are posting to complain.....Sorry , but , it is a message forum, meant for every question.....
