Would "Complete fucking joy" count as a normal human emotion?  Cuz the more you beat me, the more of that I get........

Yours,

benji

Perhaps we could keep *that* one ;-)

gooddogbenji -> RE: subs and displays of anger (10/21/2006 11:20:44 AM)

What about suicidal depression?  Cuz the moment you stop beating me, ever, that one hits.

Yours,

benji

MsSonnetMarwood -> RE: subs and displays of anger (10/21/2006 11:25:49 AM)

LOL Assuming you're still conscious ;-)

gooddogbenji -> RE: subs and displays of anger (10/21/2006 11:27:29 AM)

Unconsciousness usually triggers a sort of apathy in me, but that goes away as soon as I wake up.

benji

Quick reply

Everyone has a right to their feelings.  It is how one expresses those feelings that differentiates someone who has control over their emotions and is a grown up...or not.

I have no idea about the specifics but here's an idea...ask.  Call the hiring manager and request in a professional manner what you may need to work on in order to get a job there or why he felt another was more suited to the position.  One thing I thought of is if you are pursuing your own franchise...and they knew this...maybe they saw you as a short timer and did not want to invest in you.

Regardless, back to your original question, yes you may be angry or upset.  But you also need to act in a mature manner when you are.

Well, a nice sentiment but not realistic.  If you are not making money, no amount of fighting for the little people will keep you in business.  If you can't pay the bills and can't operate in the black, you might not be able to make anyone happy, including yourself.

Besides, you know that in opening a restaurant, you'll likely have to work side by side with and cater to *gasp* those horrid male creatures.

I think benji is just pullin' your leg... (kinds how little dogs do... grab on to your ankle & hump your leg)... He seems to tease a lot!!! lol  Mind you, it may work... how many people go "oooohhhhhhh... he's so cute!!!" and rub the dog's belly & ears...

Just my observation... lol

gooddogbenji -> RE: subs and displays of anger (10/21/2006 1:15:39 PM)

Damn.  Am I that transparent?

Oh well.  Off to abuse the next forum.

as a sub, which of course, they are unaware of this fact, do i have a right to be anger or upset? how should i deal with this situation?

Hello michaelGA2,

You talk about what happened and then ask if you have a right to be angry.

I am not really concerned with what happened.  You had an emotional response to a stimuli in your life.  This emotion was angry.  Do you have a right to feel angry?  Sure.  Or not.  My point is that you got angry, and whether you feel you have a right or not is not, to me, overly relevant to the question.

There was a review that Eric Idle gave on a book a few years ago, his review was "I laughed until I stopped."

Kinda says it all.  He laughed, you got angry, eventually you both stopped feeling that emotion and moved on with your life.

In my opinion, where people run into trouble is what they do with those feelings.  Do they rant and scream?  break things?  Fall down sobbing?  Accept it and move on?  Have pointless affairs?  Break up with their significant other?  Sell their children?  Move to Mongolia?

To me, it doesnt really matter what a person feels.  Why the person feels that way may be useful in debugging behaviors that result from those feelings.  What a person does with their feelings is where, I believe, people run into difficulty.

I dont actually think these thoughts apply solely to submissives either.  They apply to people.

Just me, yadda yadda yadda

What I am hearing you say is that we should continue to beat you without cessation in order to prolong the state of unconsciousness and avoid the suicidally depressed benji.

Do-me subs *rolls his eyes*

Do I look like a life support system for a flogger?

I get that all the time.

Unfortunately for you, I am not really into beating guys.

No accounting for taste, so I apologize.

gooddogbenji -> RE: subs and displays of anger (10/21/2006 2:12:07 PM)

Actually, it's just as well.  If I wanted to be beaten by a guy, I'd do it myself.

Thanks for the effort though.

Yours,

benji
