she sits all alone in a room full of people
she watches the every movement of the girls
watching their feet dance beneath them
seeing the men's faces smile
her heart racing -- beating heavy against her chest
her feet tapping to the beat of the music
her body swaying from the left to the right
she holds her head up high and trying to smile as she watches the excitment
feeling her body heat up, feeling the beat touching her soul
she just watches
noticing the man standing to the side of her
eyeing her movements with a grin on his face
she looks up into his eyes
taking his offering hand
she dances to the music
feeling all eyes on her
feeling every person disappear
being just the two of them dancing on the floor
they dance for hours -- all night long until morning light
