The rumors are flying that Tom Brady has gotten his current girlfriend (another model) preggers.  You can google "Tom Brady" and watch the rumors spin.  What a stud.  hehe

Uggghhh ! I hope not. I am already tired of hearing what a louse he is for getting Bridget pregnant. But somehow, these rumors tend to have truth to them.
He did go to Brazil to meet her Mama and Papa  a week or so ago. Her parents are denying that she is pregnant.

mbmbn, your Pats got a good one here, I think:

"I don't expect people to understand the contract,'' Adalius Thomas said over the phone from Logan Airport in Boston on Saturday night in the hoarse, scratchy voice that is his trademark. "It doesn't matter what people think of the contract. I know what the contract is. It's a real contract, not a paper contract, and I'm going to earn all of it.''

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writers/peter_king/03/04/thomas/?cnn=yes

This was a huge signing !  He will be a great addition to the line and fits the BB prototype like a glove. He has played all different defensive positions. And we know BB loves to move em around when injuries occur. I was ecstatic and surprised when we got him. Surprised because we are usually not the first ones out of the gate during FA. More the : let the other guys take the big names and go for a bargain on the ones in lesser demand.
Our D line is aging and we need some younger ones im there, and Thomas will do fine, IMO. There are some who think he is a system Lineman and won't do well out of the Atlanta system.

This one is for Level:  < and the Colts fans >

The Saints will interview free-agent place-kicker Mike Vanderjagt today at the team's practice facility on Airline Drive, though Vanderjagt said Monday night he was unsure whether the team was looking at him as a field-goal specialist or merely someone to handle kickoff chores.

Vanderjagt, the most accurate place-kicker in NFL history (230 of 266 field goals, 86.5 percent), arrived Monday evening and was scheduled to meet with the Saints today.

"I was supposed to fly in and fly out without anybody knowing," Vanderjagt said.

This just hit my funny bone. Vanderjerk in New Orleans, City of Sin. Do you think he can stay out of the French Quarter bars long enough to actually show up on Sunday and kick a ball ?  Kinda like Ricky Williams going to Jamaica to play soccer for the national team.

I would expect Vanderjackass to get busted with a tranny hooker.  Then get a tv show with former Atlanta Braves pitcher John Rocker.

Katy, maybe you can talk to the Fins front office and tell them how to keep Joey Porter in line.
Not out of Pittsburgh two months and he is in trouble already.

edited to add: Finally an incident where a bengals player is actually in the clear.
Who woulda thunk it could happen?

DENVER (AP) - Former Indianapolis Colts receiver Brandon Stokley has agreed to a free agent deal with the Denver Broncos.
Stokley's agent, Rick Smith, confirmed the deal Tuesday. Various reports said it's a one-year deal. Smith didn't reveal how much the deal was worth, and the Broncos said they couldn't comment on the agreement.

What an idiotic mess this is:

"The Texans acquired Matt Schaub in a trade with Atlanta on Thursday and said for the first time publicly that Carr's five-year tenure as the starter is over.

"Matt is our starting quarterback," general manager Rick Smith said. "We're trying to help David find another place. We're trying to trade him today, maybe the next couple of days."

I still think they'll be plenty tough, but you have to wonder about their depth, now.

Oh, I didn't realize that Matt is yet another western PA qb.

n/m, born in Pittsburgh, but I think he's from the Philly-area, as far as high school career

Carr is a solid QB; he has spent his five years on his back due to a horrific offensive line. Give him the Steelers' O-line, and I think you'd see a far more productive player.
