dark~angel you're absolutely awesome. Thank you for the list of books. I spotted a title or two I do not yet have and I think they'd make for delightful reading.

Hi and welcome to the forums at CM!

Here on the forums we love to discuss all aspects of life and the lifestyle! So jump on in, the water is fine!

It is a great place to learn about things before you jump into them in real time. So read read read and talk and ask questions and get out there talk to people learn from them the good the bad and the ugly and then take what you want and leave the rest.

Welcome to the site, while I too am relatively new to the site, I am not so much new to the L/s. angel has given you a miriad of reading choices to follow and she has always been a wealth of help to those that ask. which is where your key is to learning begins. read the forums here and ask questions of T/those that participate in them. perhaps even visit the chat rooms and observe and ask questions there as well.

the only bad question in learning about the L/s is the one you dont ask.

Sure there are many here to help, but just read up on their background first, its easy with a little search.

If u want a mentor I can help, just ask away.

another good way to learn more of the lifestyle is to get out and meet like minded people in person. Many cities have a newspaper of alternitive lifestyle topics (ie gay. lesbian, goth, punk, music scene etc) or yahoo groups may just have a group in your area. I live in the Albany NY area and yahoo has several groups listed in a 50 + mile radius , we have many meet and greets, munches, demos etc. Good luck

Welcome!
I also have a website for 'newbies'. If you go there, please read "Tips for submissives" - there's an article by Jay Wiseman that is excellent.

Also, this site has a list of many BDSM groups across the country.
