A wonderful lady on here (thank you MFM) helped me establish some guidelines for members of my household. And I am excited to be bestowing my first token of guardianship to a Newbie Slave Girl. I am taking one her training, and mentoring her in the scene. She has asked me how to pursue a collar, but I have told her I will not consider offering her a collar until she's gotten a more full picture of what that means. :) However, I have agreed to be her protector in the meantime. This Wednesday we are going to spend some time togther, and I'm going to present her with the token below (I made it) I just wanted to share my happiness, and joy with everyone, and since this is a suprise to her, and I don't keep secrets well, I just HAD to share with some folks who would know what it means to me. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v195/badhabit/Zpics/Patterns/Others/Kink/PICT0025.jpg

Ahhhhhh! Pink! Ew! [;)] Congratulations, Demistress. The collar is lovely and the Princess tag is priceless. How to pursue a collar is an important issue for a lot of subs/slaves. You mentioning this, and my knowledge that subs/slaves like to know exactly how to do things correctly, I've realized that I need to go and be more precise about just how this is done for me. Thanks! Thanks ladies. The offer and acceptence of the token went really well. I suspect this is the first step down a long, and interesting path we're going to walk together. That's quite a feeling. Wow. I have my first girl.

Very nice collar. I'm wondering though how it differs from a collar you would give your slave instead of one you were guardian of? As lovely as this one is my head is full of amazing thoughts of how amazing your ownership collar might be. I thought your thread would be about things that function as collars without being collars from the title of it. Even though it isn't, I'll share this. Fox got his ears (yes both of them) pierced to mark the end of seven years as my slave. It is our symbol of our past committment and his future service. It was very scary for him (he has fear of public hygiene and body modification of any type). Since he's developed issues with having something around his neck, this has become our symbolic collar now.
