Status: offline 		Has anyone other than myself wondered where they might find a private cabin in the mountains, perhaps we need a D's campground on say 50 acres with little theme cabins located throughout. I could be wrong but to me this would be a nice thing to have. What features do you think need to be incorporated into each little mini-dungeon?

A check in/reservation cabin would be a necessity as would some sort of facilities for water and electricity but beyond that what do you think would generate a lot of interest?

A lack of biting bugs might not be a bad thing.........although, there is that "insects as torture" thread going..........cringing

Status: offline 		OMG, I'm not into bugs, I was thinking about 10-15 separate cabins spread throughout the woods with each having a specific theme. I've got too much free time, lol.

Status: offline 		You're probably talking about a place we could go any time of year for a weekend alone, and while I've heard people talking about such a thing, I don't know of any.  But there are many camping experiences for bdsm-ers and the like throught the year, throughout the country, and into Canada.  Here are only 3 I picked up from a Google search on "bdsm campground"!

Status: offline 		My wife and I have been wanting to build something like this for over 20 years. We are looking for at a French Chateau look with private guest rooms with several different setups for restraint and bondage. We also would have a basement dungeon complete with lots of toys and furniture. The staff would all be kink aware. Since I am a certified chef as well as certified as a food and beverage manager and sommelier, we would have a full service restaurant for all meals as well as room service with several kinky delights available. Now all we need is the money, oh well LOL.

Camp Crucible- an annual (occasionally bi annual) outdoor camping event that lasts a week in MD

Leather Retreat- a long weekend outdoor camping event that lasts 5 days in MD

Dark Odyssey- annual/bi-annual weekend outdoor camping event that lasts 5 days in MD

I also know that Black Rose (DC) and BESS (MD) have smaller weekend retreats for their special interest groups a few times a year.

I personally have only been able to attend one Leather Retreat and greatly enjoyed their offerings- a pool, meals, large dungeon, smaller dungeon, a pampering area, kinky "athletic games" and carnival, and general party nights with casino games.

The GWNN group in Austin held their annual bash this year at a campground as well which lasted 3 days.

Status: offline 		We're working on it..only it's not 50 acres it's only 32, but it's all bush and mountain and lake....does that count? *smiles*

In Ontario there are a couple of summer campout gatherings as well.

it would not only be great, but ,in demand ,as we all search for recreational land ;all the time;mainstream or not;but, i guess you have to have a landshare person into the s and m culture ,or know someone who has money to invest and put out the idea to others to invest and raise s and m sponsors, to:" group own the real-estate";i heard of pent-houses in boston ,ma.being group owned, by master and slaves, and, they ,inturn take their invited private or favored individuals there ;but, it's who ever they choose,out of all those , that come to their s and m rap groups, at their private homes(initially), that finally gets ,to go there ,to the secretly owned penthouses;that are always  group owned by special interests ,otherwise :it could'nt be aforded ,as individually-owned;so the best is for their guest-lists.
it's  a great idea ,maybe ,sign a lease ,on a rental camp ground, with a number of peoiple obligated each yr, to make sure no one else rented there;but, theres plenty of cheap land around ;perked ;so showers and portable facilities can be set up ;from here to texas!what about s and m incorp recreational grounds;then you can have investors with one rep.
go purchase for the company;
tax deductable;nonprofit? i met plenty of pros ,with churches for s and m fetish  rap groups as rec. places in s and m too....
*fantastic dream! ;takes a real organized mind to even come up with the idea;
one thing i'd make sure of is liability insurance(usually cheap and comes with the business you register for....) in case anyone gets hurt

using the whipping poles or whatever ,or have standard wavers ready to sign ,incase pix. are taken ,or ,especially ,for any one looking to bring possible legalities.even tattoo artist and electrologists have million-dollar damage maiming ins., for a $million a year, just ,incase someone's disfigured,by your actions, under the groups usual activities and business practices.ie s and m recreation and camp grounds, activities you are responsible ,for insuring.it's, just routine; no big thing.smart too;required,for certain bussinesses.

It seems when you get peaple out in the country they get the urge to act like children and go play outside then build a bonfire and throw gasoline into it. Someone has to enforce rules of conduct. Even if someone has to climb on a roof and use Binoculars to see what you are up to if they call Police you can offer an explanation I'll pass.

Status: offline 		This is an interesting concept that a friend of mine had several years ago, but nothing ever came of it.  There are a few BDSM B&B's around.  When we lived in Seattle, we knew of one that was pretty good called Gypsy Arms B&B, but don't know if it is still in operation.

Status: offline 		i belong to a Group in Southern California that meets monthly for rustic camping adventures. Our camp area is located on 6 very private acres, the owner of this property has had running water, toilet and showers installed for us kinksters. He is even rebuilding the Gazebo w/ water misters.

This is the 9th year this Group has been in action and every year new ideas happen. We recently began having Demos and they have been a HUGE hit! (Pony, piercings, needle play etc.)

There is always a member of the Group responsible for the safety in play, and the bonfires. (there is nothing better than naked submissives dancing around the bonfire under a full moon)  *smile* 

During the colder months, our Group gets together for other fun events. Munches, Fundraisers, Christmas Toys 4 Tots, etc. We certainly are a giving Community and make sure we have fun while doing it!
