in general- i dont mind VISITING teh big city. i lived there 25 years- and moved to PA in 1988. i never looked back. PA takes care of its people as it is a commenwealth, not a state. so better social programs.

i dont like to be the target of crime. even in your nice neighborhoods- they still get burglarized etc.

small town life is me. lower expenses...which then allow me to have the teck toys or travel as bonus.

in Chicagoland i dislike teh powerlines overhead, the grey skies that dont let the sun in. a clear blue sky is rare there.

family politics are forcing this issue. so thats why it bothers me. i left there cos it did not work for me. if it did not fit in my car, it did not go.

i wont mention being car jacked, the 6 bullets that came thru my home window- or when the gangs torched my house.....

BTW- thank you for asking.

One can substitute New York, LA, Detroit, ect,
i wont move to any urban area.

i have 3 siblings in Chicago. tehy work 80 hours a week to afford the good zip code. the BANK OWNS THEIR house their cars - hell pracitally their wardrobe too!

so to me that is slavery.

right now im in crises mode. but once i break out of it- it is possible to come out ahead. ild love to say= ya, i OWN my shack, and I own my time. not empoyer. i own my life. [not gangs-thugs- or guys in ties]

living well is teh best revenge. [for lack of a better word...]

How long has it been since you've last been to Chicago? I realize that the air still isn't as pristine here as in the Poconos, but a lot has changed.

You'll be okay here, as long as you can handle the traffic...
