LuckyAlbatross -> RE: please explain... (10/24/2006 8:21:44 AM)

No idea- it's just how someone sees themselves.  Perhaps it's that they understand the concept of "collaring" to a relatively high degree.

But since collars and collarings have such a variety of understanding and usage in the scene, it's a fairly empty term used in that way.  It's best to just ask the person what they mean by it.

As a request, would you mind making your subject lines a bit more specific in the future?  Something like "Please explain collar status" would be much more helpful than just "Please explain"

Arpig -> RE: please explain... (10/24/2006 8:22:18 AM)

A collar (expert) is one who can fasten & unfasten a collar with one hand while reaching around the collared one from in front.

WickedlyDevine -> RE: please explain... (10/24/2006 8:29:42 AM)

It is how one see's themself, what an expert at collar/collaring to me may be different to you, and so on.  My guess is overall, anyone above beginner has been broken in at least once for what I consider a fair period of time.  An expert should fully understand the concept of collaring and adhere at all times, having spent sustantial time either in or overseeing a/the collared, but again that is my view.

DiurnalVampire -> RE: please explain... (10/24/2006 10:27:00 AM)

Personally, I dont put much clout into the little notatons on the sides of a checklist.  After having read through Angels, I think its so subjective as to nearly be useless. Someoen could ean anything from they are an expert at wearing the collar to they think tey know all about what one means...
I read th elist, but everything ese is fluff to try and make it look better.
I know what my boys collar means to us.  Does that make me an expert? Where it comes to Angel, yes.  Anyone else, no where close.

My opinion at least

LOL, yes what's all that "expert" stuff all about?
Are they "Certified" by some B&D Board of Certification somewhere?

You know, just when I got skilled at unsnapping a bra from the other side, I entered the phase of my life where I didn't have to do it from then other side anymore.

Yet another example of how high school teaches you everything you don't need to know.

Sorta like the people who give their partner a neck rub while looking over her/his shoulders lusting after the person walking by.

Tie her up.

Open Spyderco police special knife.

Trace knife over skin, watching it squirm.

Cut bra strap.

And so on.

MasterNdorei -> RE: please explain... (10/24/2006 10:01:28 PM)

Claiming to be an expert at collaring? Hmmmm... i can think of some great things to want to become an expert at, but collaring is not one of them...

For me the legnth of time one has been collared is more significant than the number of collars worn. As for me i no longer consider myself collared, as my collar was removed when i was branded. Everyone has their own ideas of expressing dedication.

Humbly,

RedSavageSlave -> RE: please explain... (10/25/2006 6:07:53 AM)

Maybe the collaring experts are the ones who know how to throw the really good "after collaring" parties?

I didn't even know this existed on the other side.
Is this a new way of expressing that you suck at relationships (expert) and have collared many subs?
