Most online dating sites are like that.

A lot of the profiles are either spammers looking for email addresses or people looking to send you to some virus ridden website full of free pics. Or worse. Some places are so unscrupulous, they will fill your email inbox with phony messages that you can't read until you actually subscribe to their site first. Some profiles will spam your inbox with messages from international dating sites that offer those infamous mail order brides - every man here will remember who Lorena Bobbit was - any email address ending in .ru is pretty much a dead giveaway..

However there is a distinct tradeoff between pay sites and free sites, like Collarme. On paysites, at least some of the people are truly interested enough to fork over $50 every few months just to introduce themselves. On the free sites, there are no such failsafes and women here get flooded with 20+ pages of emails every few minutes, leaving them with the unenviable task of sorting through and finding out which are real and which are fakes.

Nooooooooo !!!

You're suggesting these are set up by corporations (or guys) to get (other guys) to pay money for (ridiculously consistent and pasted) emails responding to yours?

(I don't believe it!).

I sent an email to CollarMe approx. 2 years ago saying that I'd be willing to pay for this site...it's worth it (even with all the Pro's of varying sorts)...they finally put up a link allowing some to opt to do so (pay)...but as many times as I requested, no one (that was a principal of the site) would allow someone to simply send in a check (some of us are single {yes, really} business owners that would love to support this place and have credit card accounts that are read by our bookkeepers (dat would be moi) who would rather simply send in a check.

This is an awesome site (even as the female bulk is either Pro, or leaning in that direction {as to looking for subs}) and I'd Looooove to support it....

But I also wouldn't want my CC to indicate something I couldn't easily argue for or against.

CM is waaaaaaay better than a paid personals site.

I get a host of Aryan blue eyed blondes in my area on these adverts, yet I live in an area of 90% ethnic minorities. Lovely as these Carribean, African, middle eastern and far eastern ladies are that pass my door, they are deffinitely not blue eyed. Unless all the ones wearing the burqas are blue eyed blondes, I think the adverts are trying to fool me.

I have had friends tell me HORROR stories about dating sites...One friend told me about a woman from Ghana who was 22 years old and her pictures made her out to be a model...she wanted to marry him after 2 days of chatting with him lol...I wonder how many of these sites are just women from other countries trying to get into the U.S.? I have found that collarme is one of the few sites to be legit. I have met some people from this site and found my Daddy Dom here so I must say that I am happy. All I can say to those searching "be careful"..if something seems too good to be true, it usually is.
