depend on the dinner party you might wish to try banana's foster
slice depend on the size of party 3 to 4 bananas, in a skillet melt butter, and brown sugar, add banans, once coated well with the butter and brown sugar remove from stove,  and either pour a banana liquior, or burbon and set on fire, pour this over vanilla ice cream
take care and be safe

those both sound absolutely devine!! lol

for the chocolate sauce, do you have to use dark chocolate? or can i use milk chocolate?

I would use dark chocolate for this one because you are already going to be adding heavy cream to it.

I'm loving the recipes, especially the link Sinergy inserted in this thread. Making one of those tonight!

For Dessert,

Easy Cheese Cake Cookies a favorite for anyone especially if you like cheese cake, and even if you don't!

1 Pkg of Cake Mix (any kind, but I use Vanilla or Yellow)
1 egg
1 stick of Butter soft
1 pkg of cream cheese soften
I add a cap full of vanilla but it isn't required

Let your egg sit in hot water while blending the other ingredients, so it doesn't cool the butter.

Preheat the oven for 325
Grease your cookie sheet

Mix the butter egg and cream cheese together until creamy
add the cake mix
Mix until it becomes a dough
drop tbl spoon of mix on cookie sheet 3 inches apart
Bake for 7 - 8 minutes

Happy Baking!

Garlic Pasta

Saute some fine minced garlic cloves in about 6 tablespoons of olive oil. (By some, I mean, how much do you like garlic? I use 10-12 for this recipe.) When the garlic is tender (don't brown it) slowly add about 1/2 to 1 cup of heavy cream. Sitr and cook until the cream thickens a little. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Toss in freshly cooked pasta and serve with LOTS of grated parmesan cheese, some crusty bread and a green salad.

Roasted Garlic quickie

Cut one whole head of garlic in half (elephant head garlic is perfect for this). Drizzle cut sides with olive oil and wrap in foil. Bake at 400 degrees for about 35 - 40 mins. Use the roasted garlic to flavor a variety of dishes. Roasted garlic is yummmm!

Roasted Garlic Crab Dip

6 oz of crab, minced (canned crab works great for this! Make sure to drain liquid though)
1/2 cup cream cheese
1/4 c grated parmesan cheese
4 cloves of roasted garlic, squished through garlic press.

Mix crab, cream cheese and garlic until well blended. Put into small, shallow baking dish, top with cheese and bake at 350 degrees for 20 mins or until top is browned. Serve with tortilla chips.

Stuffed Chicken Casserole

1 lb or 4 boneless chicken breasts- use a mallet and pound them out a little thinner
1 Box of Stovetop Stuffing
1 Can creme of mushroom soup mixed with 1/2 can water
small bag of frozen corn, green beans, broccoli or fave veggie-thawed

Spread veggies in 8 inch pan
Place a heaping tablespoon of stuffing in center of each chicken breast and fold chicken around stuffing
Put stuffed chicken breasts on top of veggies.
Spoon extra stuffing over veggies and around chicken
Pour creme of mushroom soup mixture over casserole
Cover with Tin foil
Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes or until chicken is done

Hint- put 8 inch pan on another larger pan in oven incase any liquid bubbles over.

You can also marinate the chicken breasts in Italian Salad dressing over night before preparing for a little zestier taste

Katy,

Haven't tried it with chocolate chips, since I'm the only chocolate freak in the house, but I imagine it would be even better with chocolate chips. Have to give it a shot.

Speaking of chocolate......

Brownie Fudge Cookies

Preheat oven 325
Take your regular Brownie Mix, mix it up really good with a 1 cup of all purpose flour,
Mix seperately 1/2 cup of milk, stick of butter(soft), 2 eggs
Mix the dry in until it becomes dough in consistency, add milk chocolate chips
Bake for 8 - 10 mins on a greased cookie sheet
You can add icing or powder sugar on top

These are to die for! Especially Warm!

Venus De Milo Soup

1 lb hambuger, browned- drain fat/grease
1 small bag of mixed veggies-thawed
2 celery stalks, cut lengthwise and chopped
1 can of diced tomatoes with the juice
1 package of Onion Soup Mix
1 large can of chicken broth and one small can chicken broth
1 Tbsp Italian seasonings
1 1/2 cups cooked orzo pasta or any very small soup pasta

Put all ingredients except tomatoes and pasta in 8 qt dutch oven. Bring to a boil, reduce and simmer for about 20 minutes. Add tomatoes and pasta and simmer another 15 minutes.

When serving sprinkle with Parmesan cheese or grated mozzerella cheese.
Makes a very filling meal when served with Garlic bread or any nice crusty bread.

Master dislikes garlic, so i had to remove the garlic from the dish.

stuffed tomatos

beefsteak tomatos.....one per person
one chicken breast....boned skinned cooked chopped.....per person
chicken bouillon powdered 1/4tsp per breast
parsley to taste
pepper to taste.......gormet corns freshly ground the best
cooked rice........amounts depend on size of tomatoes used
green onions finely chopped.....to taste
celery to taste....finely chopped
pinch or two of saffron

with extra virgin olive oil, gently stirfry above ingredients till onions are caramelized.
wash and cut tomato tops off ..spoon out tomato meat . fill tomatos and sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. quickly broil tops of stuffed tomatoes till the cheese is light brown.

serve each tomato on a bed of lettuce leaves shredded carrots. drizzle with olive oil vinaigrette or for a zesty taste....zesty Italian dressing.

i like to take long shavings of carrots and the celery tops and decorate the stuffed tomatoes,,,i use the cut off tomato tops like little hats and the celery tops and long shaved carrots as decorations on the tomato tops using tooth pics.

when i have the time, i make carrot roses and radish roses and use the roses and celery tops for decorations instead of the tomato tops.

There is a restaurant/function facility here in Mass, called Venus de Milo's and it is an original recipe they created.
I have no idea if this is the exact recipe they use, but it has all the same ingreds and tastes just like the one they serve.
