Three lovely blondes are competing for one position with the State Highway Patrol.
The examiner wishes to evaluate their powers of observation, so he calls them into his office, one at a time, shows them a picture of a mans face in profile, gives them three minutes to view the picture, then removes it, asking them to describe what they can about the individual in the picture.
The first applicant starts crying! When asked why she is crying, she blurts out, "Oh, that poor, poor man. He only has half a nose and one ear!". The examiner reminds her that it is a profile picture and dismisses her.
The 2nd applicant, when shown the picture, has essentially the same response. And she is also reminded that it is a profile picture and is dismissed.
The 3d applicant, after viewing the picture, tells the examiner that the man is wearing contact lenses. The examainer tells her that she is absolutely correct, but wants to know how she determined that with only a three minute glance at the picture. She answers, "Well, duhhh! He has to be. He can't wear glasses with only half a nose and one ear!!"
