Awww!

I only hope that folks that have certain obstacles in their lives can finally have a haven to find support and folks like them - as I am sure those that have years of experience with BDSM and their disability will have a LOT of advice and wisdom for those that are just starting out.

I'm hoping the members will help flush out the links that THEY have found that have helped them so that others can benefit from it.

I'd love to see anyone write articles or even a monthly column for that site - I just think it was really needed for a long time.

I'm only sorry that I didn't make it years ago.

I always hear about Yahoo or MSN groups crumbling and how sorry the members were to find it go away - and I can't count the times I've seen folks on mailing lists and message boards almost desperately reach out to one another when they discover someone else has the same disability they are coping with in themselves, with their partners, or their loved ones ... be they siblings, children, parents, friends, whatever.

It seemed a real shame to me that there wasn't a single site out there that I'd found over the years that would bring folks together or serve as a good resource or allow the members to build a resource from their experiences.

It is my hope that that site will do a little for that and maybe help fill what I saw to be a need out there in the web.

I can't take ANY credit for that site, what the site becomes will depend entirely on the members, and how they use it - all I did was throw it up, which really is very little actually.

I just hope that it serves to fulfill a need that I perceived to be out there, and that folks can fill there are others like them out there, handling the very same things they are struggling with, and that they aren't alone, and they don't have to feel that they are. Feeling alone is so lonely and so hard, and the fact is, no one is ever really alone in how they feel or what they have to handle in their lives.

Thank you for that link! My fiancee is disabled and I will go through it with interest. I've also linked to it from my bdsm page (which I'm not sure anyone reads, but anyway).

I also posted the link to my group. I know when I was looking there were a lot of disabled Doms looking also.
Never seen one at a munch but that may be because they just don't feel they would fit in. Dunno, but the site is something we definately do need.

Yeah I kept thinking that too - just never got off my ass to make it until now, something I sorta feel bad about to be honest.

Ray's disabled, has spina bifida, so this touches me in some respects as well, and I know so many in real life that have varying degrees of a variety of disabilites ... I suspect I'm about to learn just how common this is through that site.

I had an inkling, but I think I'm about to learn the bold naked truth - which is good. I *should* know that.

We've already had someone add in a Yahoo group links, so I suspect the resources and networking is about to begin.

Which is cool, I can only hope for a explosion of such links.

lol

If anyone would like Kinked to have a link back to them, let me know. I'd be happy to share traffic back to those that send traffic our way!

i agree.... i went and checked it out and it is awesome. As one person on the site put it, it is nice to find people that you have *more* in common with than just BDSM...
