houseboy2 -> Domme at work (10/27/2006 11:33:29 AM)

There is a girl who works for me that I think is Domme. I'm pretty sure of it, but not completely. Is there any way of finding out, and keeping my job if she's not?
Problem is she works for me, if she complained that I brought this up I'd be in big trouble. She was a sub at one time. That I know for sure.

BitaTruble -> RE: Domme at work (10/27/2006 11:47:48 AM)

I'm curious as to how you can know for sure that she was a 'sub' at one time? Did you meet her at a munch, see her at a play party? You know, those things are like Las Vegas.. what goes there stays there. Tread slowly with this one and ask yourself how important is it for you to satisfy your curiosity? Inquiry can lead to her embarrassment, loss of your job and perhaps issues for your place of employment as well, since she is an employee of yours, you're treading into an area of harrassment if you question her or anything.

Just be careful and remember.. you don't have to know everything!

Be VERY careful...if she works FOR you, I would just say no.  Leave the personal aspects out of your professional relationships.  But that's just my opinion.  Too much at risk.

She may be a Domme but might not appreciate having her personal life explored in a professional environment.

I hope she's a woman, not a "girl".

And no, you don't get to ask intimate questions of people that work for you because they "might" be someone you're interested in.   Your profile indicates you are inexperienced in this lifestyle - I'm thinking your good judgement is running afoul of your imagination.

Be smart.  Let it go.

I'd just like to point out that even if she is, if you question her about it, you can lose your job.

wanta247 -> RE: Domme at work (10/27/2006 1:38:55 PM)

You have to be carefull in this area, but perhaps a way is to send her a card on secretaries day that has a little SM undertone, and see how she reacts

MistressTheaZ -> RE: Domme at work (10/27/2006 1:59:08 PM)

(fast reply)

I've been outed at work. While I decided to take it in stride at the time, (I was in the process of relocating, buying a new home, so on), if I had it to do over again, I'd sue.

Someone's personal life and sexual preferences are NOT fodder for anyone, particularly anyone in position of authority, to explore, comment on, or ask questions concerning, in the workplace environment.

Take a look at your Employee Handbook. It likely has sections concerning sexual harassment and defamation. Read this as often as you need to. Beyond just losing your job, you can and will be personally named on a lawsuit if one were to arise.

Problem is not that 'she works for you'. Problem is more that you are willing to conduct yourself in such an inappropriate manner in the work environment, and the only issue you seem to see is how to protect your own ass when she (rightfully) may get upset in response to your unwanted advances and inappropriate questions.

Apologies if I stated this more harshly than the others, but truly, your kink is going to become your greatest liability if you don't learn to keep your personal and professional life separate, and have the same respect for others working around and for you, whether or not the 'girl' shows signs of being into the Lifestyle.

Yeeeeeah...I wouldn't touch this one.  An employee is an employee.  Prying into her sexual life could put an end to your career.

Sadly it sounds as if you are guided by your poodle boy excitement and can barely  keep your toenails from clicking on the linoleum floor as you think about the possibiity of serving her. When this kicks in...reason flies out. Get a damn grip on yourself.

gooddogbenji -> RE: Domme at work (10/27/2006 3:04:19 PM)

Bend her over her desk and fuck her in the ass.  If she objects, she's a Domme.

Yours,

benji

PS: You show particular panache if you do this while holding your cuppa joe à la Office Space.

Golden rule in business. Never date an employee.

You miss out on too much.

I always use the resumes to collect phone numbers........

littlespike -> RE: Domme at work (10/28/2006 1:54:35 AM)

i have to agree.  Since she is a subordinate in the work environment it is highly improper for the "boss" to bring this up.

Bluebird -> RE: Domme at work (10/28/2006 2:12:54 AM)

Of course, if for Halloween she comes in wearing leather, spike-heeled boots, and carrying a whip like she knows how to use it, then she is probably not super-sensitive about being outed!

Otherwise, leave your fantasies inside your head, where they belong.

sf-Sub -> RE: Domme at work (10/28/2006 4:54:44 AM)

Your her boss.

Take your mind else where, this can only end poorly.

Work is work, never mix the two. Much worse if you are her boss.

It may sound fun, etc, but too many have had bad outcomes from things like this.

Yeah, it does workout for a FEW but many have been sued, lost their jobs, etc -- over workplace dating... But an employee - WHAT ARE YOU THINKING.

MisPandora -> RE: Domme at work (10/28/2006 8:04:28 AM)

Just my personal 2 cents: you'd be an idiot to jeopardize your job over something so utterly assinine.

littlespike -> RE: Domme at work (10/28/2006 9:35:02 AM)

Hi Bluebird:

That is how i met my first roommate here in the Hollywood area.  She was walking down the street in latex and heels.  Then we met a little while later in the UPS store where she worked.  The place i was using to find an apartment sent me next door to use the facilities.  Long story short we hit it off and moved in together a couple weeks later.....
