would you prefer it to stay the same all the time, or do you like it switching back and forth?

I don't like daylight savings time..... I like it the way it is now, and am pissed the government will make this time shorter starting next year.

I hate the falling back one hour. I wish they would just leave it alone.

I have mixed feelings about it, I do think that the reasons for it have kinda ceased to exist for the average person, I believe only like 2 percent of the American people are farmers, so, it is done for a very small minority.

I think perhaps we lose a lot of productivity from an economic point of view because we are readjusting our inner clocks twice a year for what the external clock says... but I do love those sunny days that last forever, and there is something of a hibernation feeling about it getting dark before 5 pm... so mixed feelings

Falling back one hour is okay because you get an extra hour to sleep (or party) , it's the springing forward an hour that sucks!  One less hour to sleep (or party) .  Of course, the worst is when you totally forget about the time change and you end up an hour early or late somewhere, looking like an idiot .

We don't have daylight savings time here...I'm glad we don't because it kind of looks confusing..

we used to have it here though...before I was born but then the government decided it was nonsense or something like that..n I'm thankful for that.

I am from Indiana, and we just started it this year, and I hate it.  It's very annoying, and the county next to ours is different, so if you go there you always have to think about that part.  I can see why it was done in the first place, but now I don't see much reason for it.  I can't see that my family of farmers benefited at all, afterall, it only started this year and my family has farmed for almost two hundred years.  We have a Gov. that just had to push it through, just one of the many reasons I didn't vote for him, and wish no one else had either.

It really makes very little differnce to me. The clock moves is all, other than that the world remains the same. And as far as adjusting one's internal clock, I find that takes all of about 1 day to do, so I don't really buy the lost productivity idea.

I look at my children standing at the dark bus stop and am thankful that beginning tomorrow morning, there will be light for them to see while they are there.  I look at the long summer evenings and am thankful that there was light to stay out later and have more fun.  I look at the darkness that falls as soon as I get off work and am thankful that I have a Master to come home to and play with in the dark.  I look ahead to the Spring and know that the light will be there again.  It's only an hour.  There are so many more things to get your blood pressure up about.  Peace to all.

I love the hour I "gained" this weekend, and will hate "losing" the hour in the Spring, and it is confusing since not everyone partakes (looking at you Arizona), but at the end of the day, not a big huge deal to me either way.

I'd like to have constant daylight-savings time, but parents complain that it gets too dark in the morning in the winter, and that it's a safety concern for children going to school.  They have a point.

I've e-mailed ModOne about them.  They should be on their way back.

I got up really early this morning so I could enjoy the extra hour before my kids were awake.  I liked it. :)

I threw a fit when the first Bush mucked around with daylight savings to bring the country out of a recession, but other than that I've never had much complaints about it.

I would prefer Standard time all year. However the politicians will do whatever their paymasters want. Ever notice how off one feels after the change, takes some time to readjust. I think that helps keep the lemmings docile.
There is no DST in Arizona, Iceland, China or Japan.

General response: ICK!

Fall back is always easy on Me, I always feel as though My biological clock is back in tune, keeping proper time.  Spring forward is nearly impossible for me to adjust to.  It takes most of the summer for Me to tweak My internal clock to keep pace with the timeclock at the office.  I'm delighted that I have all winter to look forward to being back 'in sync' with the planet.  I have to admit, though, I miss the long evenings and hours at dusk when outdoor chores can get caught up on.

Contrary to popular opinion, the energy shortage was just an excuse to implement the time change.  The true impetus for DST is to have an extra hour trading with European markets on the Exchange.

I wish WallStreet and the NASDAQ would just reconcile themselves that the markets open different times in different places and reach a mutual agreement for all markets to close at 3pm or 2pm whatever their time zone.  Then perhaps I'd get to leave the office early just once in a blue moon!

I agree with you....I hate it when I get off from work and the sun is going down but I also know that this is for the kids going to school at this time of year.

I remember when Nixon was president, they were fooling with daylight savings time vs. eastern standard time in my freshmen year...boy was I one tired kid!
