I just want to introduce myself to the collarme community. I live in Vermont and have been marginally active in a few BDSM communities for 2 or 3 years. Ever since I have been thinking about the lifestyle I have been aware that I am  a domme, but for the past 2 months I have been experimenting with bottoming with a  friend who is a wonderful, experienced dom. This is my first ongoing experience with a BDSM relationship, and I have to admit that it is a fascinating journey that is teaching me a lot about what it takes to be a good domme. I'm not going to go into this at length because I know that there's another forum for that.
I just put my profile on collarme a couple of days ago and am finding that I like this site a lot. I mostly wanted to write today to express my frustration with myself and my newly-discovered "child at Christmas" mentality. I look at websites and catalogues and in stores and I want everything that I see!!!  I want stiletto-heeled boots, I want lace and leather lingerie, I want chains and canes and collars and crops! I'd love to hear about other victims of this (common, I'm sure) syndrome and how you have restrained yourselves from burning up the credit cards. Also about any other newbie experiences or anything else you'd care to share.

Welcome to the boards :)

I, too,  knew what youare feeling now. I invested close to $2000 in whips and toys.  If I could offer you on peice of advice, it is this:  your best  tool is at the end of your wrist. You will pay full price for your toys but trying to get your money back out of them is nill  Go slowly in making your purchases.
