Hi all, this is my big jump out of the shadows shame and into the light of empowerment.
When I was 5yrs old, I was amazed by women wearing high heels. This was in the 60's and the heels were pretty much ice pics on shoes. My mom and all the other women wore them every where ... work, shopping, dancing and to church. At that age I couldn't understand why they didn't poke holes in the floor. Nails went through wood, so why didn't my mom or my aunt get stuck in the living room floor? I know they were heavy enough because I could'nt lift them, and my aunt crushed one of my toy cars when she stepped on it.
Well, one day I got the bright idea to to have my sweet chubby cousin, who was 7 at the time, step on my belly wearing my moms brand new stilettos. I learned a new "special" pain that day, and that my cousin was too heavy for me to lift up. She would not get off me until I threatened to toll her mom! When we looked at my skin there was no blood, no hole, barely a dent! That was it right there, I took every opportunity to try all the shoes that I could get my hands on. To this day, the quest for that "special" pain continues to drive me.
