Just wondering how you change the icon on your posts from Vanilla, to Indecent, etc...??

I was wondering the SAME thing! So the icons above the avatars change automatically based on the number of posts within a given forum? Is that information listed anywhere "officially" (maybe I should go read the FAQs...)?

It may be, regardless even if it isn't once you hit 25 status will change.
Then again I believe at 50 and 75. Those post's were a long time ago for me so don't quote me. Although the first 25 is a question often answered so I know for sure that one is correct.

Gloria, you are right. I don't remember the titles but at each of those steps the member gets an additional triskelion (or whatever that round symbol is called). And after the 100th post, the member will get their first pair of handcuffs.

Don't stress about the symbol. They're more fun than anything eles. It's not like anyone here will not read your posts because you're the sign says you're nilla. Also, i've heard that posting just to bump up your number and change it is bad news. SOmething about the mods actually taking you down a notch. So just come to the boards, post when ya feel like it and do a the same lil happy sonce ya do when you wach your odometer on your car change.

Yeah, it's true. It is established policy that posting just to boost your "status" is considered spamming. You'll be locked at vanilla.

I swear - they really should just post an faq for this one at the top of the main bdsm board and lock it in place. EVERYONE seems to get their knickers in a knot over being labeled vanilla.

Ah.. I thought the BDSM/Handcuffs/Paddles meant as what the member had identified themselves as (paddles= dom; BDSM symbol = switch, Handcuffs =sub) silly of me to think that.

Shoot, that means if I want to keep the nifty circle symbol I have to refrain from posting.... [:o]

Just go to the top of this forum "Community BDSM Discussion" and you will see near the top of the discussion listings the discussion "Forum Rankings" and there it is. To save you all doing this, I've C&P the contents:

Below are the forum rankings we use
they are based on levels of corruption
the more you post to the forum, the more "corrupted" you become *grins*


1-24 = Vanilla
25-49= Curious
50-74 = Newbie
75-99 = Kinky
100-199 = Indecent
200-299 = Twisted
300-399 = Deviant
400-499 = Perverted
500-999 = Corrupted
1000-1499 = Wicked
1500-1999 = Evil
2000-2499 = Deranged
2500+ you'll have to wait and see

A minor word of correction, which I mention because some folks are really anxious to get rid of their 'Vanilla' ranking: the count is off by one. Here is a corrected version.

1-25 = Vanilla
26-50= Curious
51-75 = Newbie
76-100 = Kinky
101-200 = Indecent
201-300 = Twisted
301-400 = Deviant
401-500 = Perverted
501-1000 = Corrupted
1001-1500 = Wicked
1501-2000 = Evil
2001-2500 = Deranged
2501+ you'll have to wait and see

Edit:
Say, for the 2501+ category, how about we either let that person pick their own title or let the entire message board nominate and vote on a title for that person? I think something similar was done here before.
