OK I know its bad but it is funny and thankfully none of our employees where a turban!

"TOWEL HEADS"

Recently I received a warning about the use of this
politically incorrect term, so please note, we all
need to be more sensitive in our choice of words.
I have been informed that the Islamic terrorists who
hate our guts and want to kill us do not like to be
called "Towel Heads" since the item they wear on their
heads is not a towel but actually a small, folded
sheet. Therefore, from this point forward, please
refer to them as "Little Sheet Heads."
Thank you for your support and compliance on this
delicate matter.
Doing my part to stay sensitive to others and being
politically correct.

Erm... there was a time, back when suicide bombers were irish and hijakers wanted to go to cuba, when I heard "camel jockey" and "rag head" a lot. While I try to laugh at the sheer bull-headed stupidity of this sort of humor, I still remember the first bloody nose I got on the playground.

Just a different perspective.

Theroebabe,
since you thought it was funny, you won't care that I think it's Not Funny at all...
I have prejudices too, am conservative on some issues, and militant on others, but I try to have enough sense to not post my prejudices on a public board as "funny" truths about a whole ethnic/religious group..

Sorry folks but we are entitled to put opinions, it was funny because it is stupid.

I know first hand discrimination by people in the building i work in, when 9/11 happened one small minded woman actually had the audacity to come to our office which as i stated is an Indian owned and mostly operated company and asked where "our people" were from. Or the time that same woman calles the bui.ding people thinking there was anthrax in the ladies toom because some one used baby powder and again pointed at us. (she is probably the piggie that keeps peeing on the toilet seat without cleaning it up too). I most definitely saw red those days as the sheer audacity of the prejudice of this person. The stupid irrational fear that programmers were now terrorists because they were a darker skin color. The whole Politically Correct mannerisms of this world where diversity abounds, is also quite a stupid way to go in my opinion.

I wholeheartedly agree. You will note that I did not, for myself, say that it was not funny. Actually, there are several layers of humor in it. It is simply that, in my case, most of those layers of humor are either directly connected to mistreatment I have suffered, or else are part of my defense mechanism for dealing with those memories.

I also agree about what political correctness has become over the span of my life. Like most aspects of hippie idealism, it has gotten warped beyond recognition by american culture.
