Lots of fresh fruits and veggies. If you buy frozen or canned fruits, make sure they're unsweetened and in their own juice, instead of in syrup. Have a double portion of veggies instead of starchy carbs. Potatoes, pasta, bread, and some vegatables are starchy carbs. Switch to diet soda, if you're a sodaholic, like myself. Cut as much sugar and processed foods as possible. Eat smaller meals at your regular meal times, and add in a healthy snack or two between those meals to keep your sugar at a steady level. If you're diabetic, test your blood sugar around meal times, or as directed by your doctor. Hope this helps. MrsShadows
