Chinese handcuffs - bit of a sore point for me Julia (and not even because I use them). There's a company about 10 miles from me that makes the hand and leg cuffs for the chinese, the same ones used in the oppressions against those pesky people who have opinions over there. They're so helpful and skilful to make such wonderful other things too - stuff that wouldnt be out of place in a mediaeval torture chamber. I have a problem with it because of the use these things go to, but also (much less) the cynical debasement of what was the world's leading iron working industry. Anything for a price, you know?

A downward slashing motion with my hand, drawing the paper over the end of her index finger.  She screams, I hear the leather dungeon cuffs squeak as she tightens her fingers in pain and tries to get away.  A single drop of blood wells out.  Her sobs fill my ears.

Whisper dangerously into her ear "had enough, strumpet?"
