A humbler:
3 1 foot or longer pieces of dowel rods
electrical tape in your color of choice
two rubber bands

Cover the dowels rods, in particular the ends, with the tape. Put one behind the balls, one between the balls and shaft, one on top of the shaft, all snug against the body. Secure the 3 dowels together on each side by wrapping the rubber bands around them. To tighten, move the rubber bands inward.

thanks for the suggestion Fire...Though I am unsure what dowel rods are?? I also found some awkward instructions on how to make a humbler out of chopsticks and elastic bands. Any more tips will be appreciated.

dowel rods can be found in craft stores and home improvement stores. They are solid wooden cylinders in varying lengths and diameters.
