Are you sick of being pigeonholed into a simplistic and insufficient liberal/conservative label? I know I am. Take this simple test to determine where you stand in a 'marginally' less simplistic political spectrum.

www.politicalcompass.org

my results:
Economic Left/Right: -3.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.00

Best,
Joshua

This is curious to me. About three years ago I took something similar to this and was WAAAAAY left (further than Gandhi). Today I'm a considerable bit more middle. That's curious to me because of my feelings about the current administration. I'd have said my feelings today would be more left than before. Hmmmm. Maybe it's because I haven't finished my coffee???

Economic Left/Right: -1.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.28

I am guessing that most of us in this group are going to wind up in the -/- quadrant. What does that mean? If I understand the test correctly, it means that we value civil liberties but we also value community.

Oh, my own scores are

Economic Left/Right: -3.25
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.90

I'm pretty close to the middle also. The lower left quadrant means "power to the people" I believe.

Economic -2.63
Social -3.38
