damia -> Paperwork as punishment? (11/2/2006 4:10:21 PM)

In the General Discussion forum, someone spoke of papercut play, and i'm pretty sure it was at least halfway for laughs...papercut play? Ok...that seems silly to me, but! this post got me thinking...

quote:

MsKatHouston: Oh, perfect for Lazy Dom Syndrome.  Sit back and make the slave do all your filing and you get some cutting play included without lifting a finger.

i have heard of writing as punishment (example: writing 'i will not disobey master' 100 times), but does anyone use filing as punishment? i personally wouldn't want to do it, and it'd certainly be punishment to me, but how effective is it? What are Your personal experiences with this?

Thank You for taking the time to read my thread.

I wouldn't really use it as punishment but as part of domestic duties, if filing needs to be done, I'd have the slave do it much like he would do the dishes or whatnot.  Personally, I don't have a lot of personal filing to be done as I keep up with most of it myself.  For business work, I have someone who does that who is employed by me.  So, practically speaking, for me, it's not something I'd do but if given the opportunity not beyond the realm of possibility.

Personaly i have had to write out on paper once something that i had said to Master first time He gave me a warning well it slipped so this time He had me write out the infraction. After i wrote it out what i had said to Him never came out of my mouth again. So it does work, but it depends on the infraction.

Jeniluscious -> RE: Paperwork as punishment? (11/2/2006 5:06:52 PM)

I will both freely and fiendishly admit to assigning papers as punishment.  I gauge it by infraction/necessity.  It's never "sentences" or anything like that, which I find to be useless and a relatively jejeune action.  However, if I receive an inadequate or insincere apology from someone, you can bet they'll be doing a thousand or so words on what "apology" actually means and several graceful methods on how to actually DO it.

I don't like physical punishments; I'm a sadist.  Don't muddy my pleasure with disciplinary actions.

Now a block of time for "play" is different; ask anyone who's ever had to suffer an afternoon of the Evil Black Book of Black Evil Evilness.  *laughing*

shadevarr -> RE: Paperwork as punishment? (11/2/2006 5:18:38 PM)

Never thought of filing since I don't see it as a punishment. Writing certain things though, is an effective punishment if it is something that the sub dislikes. My slave hated writing book reports when she was in school, so when she refuses to take a few hours to enjoy a book during a day and instead fills it with housework that didn't need doing, she is punished. Note that she knew that it was a punishable offense before hand.

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: Paperwork as punishment? (11/2/2006 6:15:06 PM)

Punishments need to be effective at changing a certain behavior.  I can't see how filing would help change a behavior and bring deeper understanding to their obedience unless they were having problems with filing.

I also think that MOST of the time when "writing assignments" are given, it's just doms being lazy, making the sub search hither and yon to write a barely 7th grade level paper filled with cliches and surface fluffy sayings that barely gets a glance over before it's forgotten for the next spanking and blow job.

Not always, just most of the time.

Oh, I thought this thread was going to be about punitive origami.

Rofl i thought it was going to be about punishing a slave by making her file her nails~ [8|]

MisPandora -> RE: Paperwork as punishment? (11/3/2006 8:59:45 AM)

I really enjoy putting to use the mind of an intelligent submissive or slave.  When employing punishment, I want to engage their thought processes and create a means for them to change the unwanted behavior that they've demonstrated.  One of those ways, and it works for some, is writing.  Sometimes, it's a journal entry about "what it means to be disappointing" from their perspective.  They might have to write an essay on a time that they were disappointed and how they felt, or have to write it from MY perspective of the individual who was let down.   I've assigned an "expectations" assignment where the offender had to journal for a week, each and every time they had a situation where they had an expectation and what the outcome was.  And I've used a written pop quiz on etiquette, manners and vocabulary they've been expected to know, all which surround the subject of the offense.

I've also been known to assign them a learning stream on a subject I feel they are lacking in, and make sure the resources are difficult to find and that there are time constraints involved.

Lashra -> RE: Paperwork as punishment? (11/3/2006 9:29:18 AM)

I have been known to make mine write papers about things that I felt he needed improvement on. Right now I've got him working on the subject of effective communication. As communication is definitely not one of his best traits and we wish to improve upon that. I am using a nine step program that I hope will help him to better commuicate not only with me, but with others as well.
He does hate to write so yes I could use it as punishment, but for right now I'm using it as a tool for growth.

Any subs/masochists out there who'd like to try a 9-5, 5 day a week paperwork scene in the Ipswich area, please mail me direct, as we have a vacancy in my company and we'd like to keep the cost down for admin. 14k/annum and all the papercuts you want. I also promise to stride about looking pissed off and being abusive at all times - no problem for me, as thats how I am at work anyway!

beltainefaerie -> RE: Paperwork as punishment? (11/4/2006 11:30:11 AM)

Actually, I did know a Dom who made his sub do filing and such as part of punishment.  It was one of those non-rewarding activities that needed to get accomplished anyway.  It was boring for the sub, but he could do it effectiviely and it was more of a reminder of his place of service than a growth/behaviour shaping activity.  It seemed to work well for them.

IndigoMouse -> RE: Paperwork as punishment? (11/4/2006 12:38:15 PM)

Mistress has made me write lines today, we're in a long distance (ish) relationship and it works, it makes me reflect on what i've done wrong and makes me less likely to do it again, plus i know that i'm being punished/disapproved of, which goes a long way

MzMia -> RE: Paperwork as punishment? (7/10/2007 2:28:21 PM)

I actually like punishments that are not "fun".
Imagine that?
I love paperwork as punishment, especially writing until your fingers ache.

Would you stop it already? They are going to find out what I have been doing...

Can't argue with that MzMia...if it's something "fun", it's hard to consider that much of a punishment, which by it's nature shouldn't be fun hehe.

This is what my Master does.  He also uses them as a learning too. I useto write aloot in HS school, which i don't anymore (till Master anyway) and my mind can go 90 miles an hour. This past weekend, i had a writing assignment that was due by Sunday, since i was also off school.  Because of school, he rarely gives me time restraints on when to have it done because he knows how much work i have to do since  he expects my work,& school to come first and my terms are only 8 weeks in length which means i have double homework most weeks.Plus i also work full time.  Even though he doesn't give me time restraints, it's not free range to do it whenever i please. i try and have those writting assignments done with three days tops.  The last one was the only one i've had to re-due, but that was partical to my miss-understanding. i thought i only had to do a couple paragraphs when it was actually a couple pages.

adoracat -> RE: Paperwork as punishment? (7/10/2007 7:31:30 PM)

arghhhh i'm procrastinating a writing assignment at the moment...well, actually i could get it done within a couple of hours (handwritten because thoughts flow better that way, then typed and emailed) but Sir gave me till friday because i'm not feeling well.

i *asked* that he be more....oh hell i dont have a word.  and so he's been giving me more active assignments in the last couple of weeks and i'm happy about it.  LDR's suck rocks through a bendy straw.

kitten, who hurts and cant think straight....
