I'm so going to miss these guys once the neocons are out of power. They put the poly back in poly-tics.

LadyEllen -> RE: Another one bites the dust... (11/3/2006 5:36:57 AM)

Whats the surprise? I thought these people all gave Hypocritic oaths when they started ministering, just like a doctor gives a Hippocratic oath before doctoring?

Yup, moral people are always the most immoral.

Welcome to America.  Where the elephants are starting to stampede and eat their young.

Power corrupts. Especially in a system that never requires its leaders to justify what they say or do beyond "God told me to".

That's why well formed bureaucracies and social systems of checks and balances are so important. They may seem inconvenient and expensive, but they supply the security that is needed in our personal lives.

I wonder what kind of "massage" that gay prostitute gave him?
Could it have been a PROSTATE MASSAGE?
I like the saying; "So, if I don't send a check to some preacher on t.v. with a bad haircut I'm going to hell?"

But if you send it to me...it won't get you anywhere either, but imagine the joy you'll feel contributing to my Wawa coffee addiction.

nefertari -> RE: Another one bites the dust... (11/3/2006 3:50:33 PM)

Ok, but my favorite is that he bought the drugs because he was curious, but he didn't use them.  That's better than, "I didn't inhale".  LOL  What was he so curious about?  What they looked like???

I have a feeling he's lying about that the same way he's lying about the gay sex.

ZenrageTheKeeper -> RE: Another one bites the dust... (11/3/2006 4:17:36 PM)

I remember that Haggard creep. Richard Dawkins interviewed him once and Haggard not only came across as an intense psychopath but also absolutely ignorant of anything scientific. Here is the link.

In fact, Haggard is so willingly ignorant of science, he makes sissify look like Albert Einstein.

There is no doubt in my mind this guy is as totally messed up as this article says he is.

servitor1A -> RE: Another one bites the dust... (11/3/2006 4:40:45 PM)

(CM forum newbie here) May i digress and share that i'm so glad to see kinky sexy people having intelligent intercourse... er conversation here? i'm sooo tired of gruff non-verbal types dropping illiterate notes on the profile proclaiming to be "dominate". Argh! God help me. (it's depressing, being a sub, i hate to admit the annoyance this causes in me.)

So glad to see this specific thread about Haggard. Call me naive, but if this story keeps it's legs, i think the results could really make things look-up in this country. i am full of schadenfreude today, but it would be cool if Pastor Ted came out (as who he is; Homosexual/Gay, Bi, Kinsey 5, whatever) and started talking about humanistic ethics instead of promoting dogmatic nastiness.
So, thank-you LotusSong!      (Hey, you single?      We require a "dominate" one here.)     (kidding!!!) [sm=flowers.gif]

So, homosexuality is immoral???  Big time hypocrisy from the preacher man, but let's keep our feet on the ground, shall we?
