Why is it that when something is gutsy, its automatically said that someone "has the balls" to do something?
Women never say someone has the boobs to do something daring...  nor do we equate any other parts of our anatomy to our sense of adventure or our brazen streak....

But I can't remember the last time I've heard any of those used.  I guess we're stuck with balls.

For men, everything .... and I do mean everything .... is somehow a competition.  ESPECIALLY in the context of relating to other men.  It is locked deep within our hard-wiring.  But, because it is so deeply ingrained in the social culture of men, we approach our competition with a sense of honor.

A group of men will quickely develop its own unwritten rules of fair play and conduct.  A man that steps outside of those boundries is made aware of it fairly quickley.

Men approach tasks with a kind of singleminded focus that generates a level of detail unmatched.  Okay, we can't multi-taks well.  It is hard for men to walk and chew gum at the same time, but a problem that requires attention will have a man's undying focus.
