It's sad to be a true sadist, isn't it.  To know that you can never truly be trusted or trustworthy at the deepest level--that someone must always hold back, or be destroyed by your entropic appetite.

The conventional spelling around here is "Twue Sadist."

Though based on someone's exhaustive research that may have to be revised to Twue Saddest, hmm?

If I was too far from him, I'd say something like "Get off the roof NOW" and he wouldn't question. I would feel horrible if I said jump or something and he ended up harming or damaging himself. First, I'd feel very responsible and would be but second, a slave with a damaged body can't really serve me as well as I'd like.

In the case of a slave with a bee allergy, my mother had a bee allergy see, a very bad one, so I know a bit about bees. I think there would be time to climb down more safely but I'm sure the master was scared and did the best he could at that moment. (yeah, we tops get scared too) Plus I bet he was more than happy to take care of his slave after she was injured. Thus I can respect that decision even if I don't think I would make the same one.

I'm one of those that "Jump" would be better suited to use.  If my Dom said "Get off the roof NOW"  I'd of prolly sat there and debated just HOW he wanted me to get off the roof?  Is getting to the ladder "now" enough?  Should i jump?  Would he want me to jump?  Maybe he wants me to like climb down?  Maybe i'm being silly and the ladder would be fine?  But what IF the ladder isnt fine?  How far is it to the bottom?  Can i safely make it?  Will i break a bone?  Since i've never broken a bone, there's a fairly good chance i wouldnt.  I wonder why he wants me off so quickly?  Whats below me?  Concrete would hurt, i hope there is grass.  ect ect ect ect ect ect ect ect

Yep, i'd prolly sit there blankly looking at him while my mine ran through a myraid of questions. Granted it'd only take me about 5 minutes at the max, but that is still 5 minutes.  Luckily my Dom knows my brain well enough to know what a thinker i am.  If he's not specific, i am going to think out the best answer.

I'm also assuming that HER dom said to "Jump" because the ladder was probably on the other side of the roof (near the behive) or there wasnt enough time for her to get to the ladder.  Or the bee's were between her and the ladder.  Just imagine her going into whatever shock ON the ladder.  Not only would she be busted up....

I say - Jump and try to roll.. or try to land like not on yer feet so all your weight isnt crashing into the foot and leg bones.  Mebbe bounce?

I would throw bunny slippers at an opponent, and I'd snarl (real mean) when I did it.

That's what I'd really do.

LMAO Oh gosh RG, I read that and got a visual in my head of those cartoons where the animal turns into a 'slinky' when they hit the ground.

Rather reminds me of horace gallileo, didn't know him, but I knew his brother real well, but we have covered this ground before.

He is absolutetly no relation to Quee Queg, but holds similar religious views.

zumala -> RE: Would you REALLY do that...? (11/5/2006 1:11:02 PM)

I imagine that the Dom did the best thing by just telling her to jump. It takes time to get on a ladder and descend, and unless it was right next to her, it would have been a very bad idea to take that time. If one bee string /will/ kill you, then there's a lot you will do to avoid it.  If she was nowhere near the ladder, instantly jumping was the best option.  We're not talking bees in flower garden.  We're talking bees defending their hive from attack. They are not slow, and they are very aggressive. Unless you want to die (due to this severe allergy), you get the hell out for their line of sight and smell NOW. Jump.

But concerning the more direct question about blind obedience. If you know you have someone that really does care for you and would never intentionally hurt you, you might listen. But as has been mentioned before, there /is/ a certain tone of voice that instantly tells you that there is something horribly wrong. It's not a sub or a Dom thing, it's a mixture of trust in someone and instinct that triggers you to react to a deadly threat.

Just my two cents.

Kalira... your story leaves me breathless!! It is exactly THAT kind of blind obedience that I so wish I can feel. I have to believe that you trusted this man with your life. And that... I think... is a rare find. I have been married to a vanilla man for 20 years, and I think if he told me to jump, I would have a few choice words:)   I dont mean to make light of this, because I sense the extraordinary bond that M/s can have with one another. It is that which I seek!
