Greetings,

i am wondering at the moment if there is an interest or need even of for a pro cleaning service for dungeon or fetish toys and equipment.  i know from experience that cleaning a dungeon and all it's lovely equiment and toys is a large job and one that does not get done often enough.  The service i've been kicking around in my head would be one of specifically dungeon or kink toys and/or furniture with perhaps light overall housekeeping (possibly very light..lol) also to extend to fetish clothing such as leather or latex care.  Unfortunately most of us do not get the oppurtunity to wear these alot and their care is last on the list of things to do in our busy lives. 

i guess before i take this wonderful thought process too far i was curious if anyone thought this would be a worthwhile venture and would You personally pay for such a service?  and what pay would You deem appropriate for such?

Talk to your local DM(s) & make the pitch to them.  If nothing is ventured then nothing is gained.  As for the cost, that would be determined by the time required to do the cleaning, the cost of the needed supplies, and any other overheard (i.e. transportation costs, taxes, FICA, etc.)
 
Sounds like an interesting business to investigate further.

I provide full leather cleaning, care and minor repairs (as well as cleaning and care ofother materials for fetish clothing).

This service is one that requires an extensive knowledge of different types of leather (and other materials), tanning procedures, construction basics and history of the specific garment. Scientific knowledge of dyes, cleaners, conditioners etc and even research on cleaning implements is also necessary. Lack of the above knowledge can lead to damage and even distruction of fetish attire.

As to prices for this part of your emerging plan: quality leather care supplies are not cheap and time is often of greater value.

As with Elegant I too care for the leathers in my community. Not only boots but clothing, dungeon equipment, sleepsacks, and the like. Like Elegant said the knowledge one must have to perform such a large task is immense. And food for thought, when my bootblacking kit was stolen on Halloween, I was forced to go through and list everything in it and it's values to try and replace it all in fell swoop. The total cost for all my lotions, dyes, polishes, conditioners and such was nearly $250 and that doesn't count all the brushes, baubles, lacing, rags, daubers, applicators, toothbrushes, and all kinds of other accessories. That doesn't even count the bag itself. Leather is not a cheap item and neither is the stuff we use to care for it. I think your idea overall is a good one, but either find someone who already knows the leather care instructions or leave that part out of it.
