Status: offline 		i will be branded sooner or later after i am collard. But first i will need to work on my phobia of fire and hot stuff, i at first could not handle being near a burning candle, but now i light matches and use candels in my spiritual work and do no longer freak if i get a little burn by acident when making for or somthing so i am getting there, we are slo planning a tatoo but that will be more for decoration.

My Master had me tatooed.(We prefer the word marked.) He came up with His own design and took me to a studio. (There is a picture of it on my mark on my CM profile) My Master himself does not believe in the branding of girls as there is too much risk with infection and the care of a brand is very complicating. If you mess up the care of it it can spread and become a irecognizable mass of scar tissue.( Our skin is not like the hide of a cow or a horse or other forms of lifestock. its thinner and not as thick.) You don't have this issue with a tatoo.

And besides you can see the tatoo very well and its pretty. I have seen a brand and r/t brands really aren't all that pretty. He likes something that is pretty to the vision. He does however have a branding iron with His intial on it He bought in Tombstone. However it is only a converstation piece. He loves to frighten the girls that enter and visit His home. LOL...(playfully He and His gorean Male Friends have threatened me with the brand. But He would never actually do that because He just does not like the idea of a actual brand on His girl.)

Status: offline 		An actual branding would be a bit too far for this Master. I've recently collared my girl and am in the process of designing a "Dina" in a celtic knot style which will eventually be tattooed on her upper left thigh.

I may also have her SLRN number tattooed as part of the design.

Moderator Eleven had to move the poll from the Gorean section to here .

A girl thinks these are some of the reasons ...when posts are moved like that people cant reply but it had only been up for a half hour when you asked the question
and it is a poll  Mistress and not a thread and many more had just voted than replied.

How do you feel about marking slaves Mistress Mitzie?

Are you for or against the practice?or did you vote?

If she may ask which would you prefer to brand your slaves with a  kef or a dina?

This one used to be scared too but she isnt anymore but she thinks it is just because of Master calming influence over her.

She saw pictures of her sisters kef mark that Master did and it is exactly like the photos on some of Vanion's work. its tiny and pretty red cursive k.

this girl also saw her Domme friends goddess brand which turned out really nice.

MM also branded his girl and it turned out well.

A girl worries a bit about scarring but has talked to several that have given care instructions as well as she has every confidence in Master.

Some people describe when a Master marks his girl (in either manner) its almost like a spiritual type bond that occurs 'tween M/s.....

What your Master chooses for you I am sure will be a very bonding and loving experience. But it is just as much so with getting a tatoo. Getting a Tatoo does hurt and takes longer to do than a actual brand. But the fact still remains even if properly cared for that a brand can spread into a unrecognizable mass of scar tissue. Accidents happen. You might bump it and accidently scrape off the scabbing which is a no no, it should be left to fall off on its own. I had a friend that washed hers and scrubbed it off as per instructions of a licenced tatoo artist. He gave her the wrong instructions on how to care for it and it turned into a horrible scar.

Honestly I have seen the kef on girls that had been branded. I still prefer the tatoo over it. I have even been to a branding long ago. But its just not something that I prefer. I mean if my Master told me I had too, I would. But that does not mean I prefer them. Besides that is something my Master is not willing to risk. A tatoo can be fixed or removed a brand can not. and if it scars horribly then you can't fix it. What is done is done. And my Master does not want me damaged. So we prefer tatoo's in this house. We respect what other houses want and do but it does not apply to my Masters household.

I am sure the big day when you are branded will be awesome and I wish you the best of luck with it and I hope that the brand heals perfectly for you. Being marked wether it is by a brand or tatoo is a awesome experience. Because you get the honor of wearing your Masters mark. It should be special for any girl. But it is no less for a branded girl or tatooed girl. It is just another method of marking just different from the other. My Master sat there while I got that tatoo on my thigh. Hell yeah it hurt. But I sat and as I had it done He stared in my eyes with the look of a proud Owner. Nothing can ever take that feeling away of truly belonging to a Master. Wether your marked or not. The thing I really love is when I kneel at His feet and He stares down at me and traces the mark He lovingly had put on me. There is no better feeling then that. Branded or tattooed its all the same just different methods of marking a Masters girl.

This one is a bit nervous over the smelling of flesh burning and worries of her stomach not holding up. she would prefer a tat but it is not her choice to make*shrugs*.

This one does however look foward to the bond it creates and her chain sister will be getting hers done then too so it will bond her even closer to her sister as well.

she is sure the effect for the M/s is the same when getting marked no matter the method.

Thank you for letting this one know that scrubbing it is a no-no as she had heard that it should be done somewhere in the past> but it wasn't a hot iron brand it was one done with a cauterizing gun of some sort.

she has not yet asked Master the care instructions but knows she will be given them when she arrives this weekend.
She believes one of her sisters stated ice then keep it up with ointment.

This girl is aware that your Master and yourself are Gorean.

She does M/s as an abrreviation for Master and slave.

She did not mean to offend you in doing this and she apologizes and will cease to use the abbreviation so she does not risk offending others.

She was including herself , her chain sister and her Master, as well as other Goreans in doing so also and did not realize it was wrong to do this as we have Masters and we are slaves. 

Thank you for the correction as she never knew the abbreviation was considered unGorean.
Always new things for a girl to learn.

I am very, very excited for the two of you as well.    *hugs*
I was branded six months ago when my Master collared me.  It was more like strike branding although it had a curve in it.  My Master was trained and has branded others before He branded me.  I must admit that I was nervous when I knew it was going to occur, but it was nothing like what I had imagined.  It really didn't hurt anything like I thought, more like a stinging than a burning, not worse than a serious kiss of my Master's whip.  And then it was over.  I think it also depends on how deep the brand is applied.  Some brands, like mine, are like a sear.  They do not get bubbly and raw and infected, not if you keep a thin layer of something like Neosporin on it for a couple of days.  The worst thing, in my opinion, is the itch as it heals.  But it isn't bad.  I have written posts before as well as many other members here, and I will try to get those links for you as they are very insightful.  I am going to be branded again once my Master gives me my slave name.  It will be that initial.  I am not nervous about it at all this time.  It sounds like you are going to have a wonderful day.  I am thrilled for you and your slave sister.  I would take the advice of those who have been branded or who are trained and who brand , as those who are not or who do not may never really understand what is involved in the entire process and what a truly intimate moment it is.  I know that I never "got it" until it was me...  and there's no disrespect intended in my comment whatsoever.  I also understand in being marked with a tattoo.  I have a tattoo that I got (as a surprise for my Master) before I was collared when I realized that this lifestyle was one that I wanted to share with Him.  It is in my profile pics if you want to look at it.  I will try to post a pic of my new brand once He does it, (which will hopefully be soon!)  *smiles*

She thanks you so much for the well wishes.

You sound like this girls sister. She is says the whip hurts worse.

This one would appreciate the links very much, thanks.

She thinks hers is going to be a sear and not deep also. It is comforting to know that it is not as bad as she has imagined it to be even though she is excited she is nervous too but  Master is a body modification specialist and has done this numerous times in the past. So she is very confident in Masters experience.

All in all this one is very excited about her upcoming weekend and thanks you again for the hugs and sharing your experience and knowledge with her.

She would love to see the photo of  yours when its done and will look at the other in your profile.

I've seen two 'kef' brands - they were both lovely and I really enjoyed touching them. The texture of a brand is fascinating. It's especially nice to curl up with a branded girl and run your fingertips over her brand. The only thing I didn't like about the two that I've seen was the size - they were a good three inches high. I think it would have looked better had they been smaller but I don't think the method used allowed a smaller brand.
Master has talked of marking me with a tattoo and has shown me the design but I am not marked yet. If there comes a time when I am no longer working as a stripper I would actually prefer to be branded, but as you say, it's not our choice. :-) I'd be happy with a tattoo!
