mistoferin -> Missing Posts (2/4/2005 12:42:37 PM)

Not sure if anyone else has noticed but it seems that the last day's worth of posts have disappeared, or is it just me?

FireWalker -> RE: Missing Posts (2/4/2005 12:49:55 PM)

I am missing all kinds of Mail from yesterday too!! What is going on with that?

Same here, it must be something with the site upgrade. Give the mod's some time to work it out. I'm sure they will get it under control.

proudsub -> RE: Missing Posts (2/4/2005 12:57:03 PM)

The site was down for maybe 4-5 hrs yesterday, so no posts were made at that time.

Ok i just went to a thread i was following and you're right, the posts that were made on it this morning are missing. Hmmmmm[:o]

knkywch -> RE: Missing Posts (2/4/2005 1:00:42 PM)

So, I took a quick peek early this AM and SAW that I had new email messages (and I'd posted messages on the boards as well). Then, just a few hours later, when I go check again -- you know to actually take the time to read the messages, they're not there! Poof! Gone.

BUT, interestingly I received email in my home account verifying that indeed I received messages. Now, I know that the email notification functionality hasn't been working for a little while (I've kept the email notification box checked since I joined) because I was getting messages in my collarme account and no notifications. NOW, I have notifications, but the messages have disappeared from the collarme account. Fascinating turn of events.

I hope the wizards and gurus who provide technical backbone and brain power are able to fix the problems and restore things soon.

Regards,
kw

happypervert -> RE: Missing Posts (2/4/2005 1:24:20 PM)

yup. I made a post this morning that has disappeared. But I see all of the posts in this thread . . . or do I?

GreyStorm -> RE: Missing Posts (2/4/2005 1:42:56 PM)

Whew, I thought I was imagining things again. I'm so relieved I didn't dream sending emails or getting them.

Mercnbeth -> RE: Missing Posts (2/4/2005 1:56:54 PM)

Maybe CollarMe just wanted everyone to experience having a thread or post pulled?

Sorry -

The 'Evil-Merc' took over my fingers and I couldn't stop HIM!

What you may have experienced was someone unsending you mail. They are able to do this. Then again, it could be a collarme glitch, since there are so many other people experiencing problems.

knkywch -> RE: Missing Posts (2/4/2005 4:08:06 PM)

Hi Beach Mystress:

I don't think multiple people would unsend me email at the same time. It's not too likely, especially given that the writers have been in multi-day correspondence with me and the exchanges have been fairly tame and friendly. I am certainly willing to believe that there is a teeny tiny chance that a mail "take back" could have happened with several people at the same time, but given that this phenomenon seems to be going on with several folks today, I'm betting it's a system glitch.

Thank you for helping me keep my mind open though. [:D]

Regards,
kw

sub4hire -> RE: Missing Posts (2/4/2005 4:21:53 PM)

It is the glitch, how do I know? Well, too many people are experiencing the same.

As far as mail goes...last evening I had 5 e-mail messages. I read them. This morning, I had no new.

This afternoon I had 5 again, guess which 5 were new?

So, it appears as collarme has merely gotten stuck in some sort of time flux and taken itself back 12 to 24 hours.

knkywch -> RE: Missing Posts (2/4/2005 4:48:53 PM)

So Gloria, you had them, they disappeared... and now they're back? The ones I saw this morning aren't back in my CM email. <pout>

I wonder what the status is for everyone else... Email still gone or has it reappeared? What about message board posts?

Thanks,
kw

I believe e-mail is still gone. I know my post's are, perhaps this is a test? We re-post the same things we already said in response and see if we can match it identically?

FireWalker -> RE: Missing Posts (2/4/2005 5:57:48 PM)

Mine are all still missing and it is evening here now. Very frustrating as I keep them for a bit so I can use them for reference.... Grrrr don't frig with the Ladies mail!! LOL I keep getting notices saying I have mail and when I check I don't lol then I do... it is all very wishy washy... time to get out a cyber flogger and get some serious stuff done! -=winks=-

till soon A/all

kyakitten -> RE: Missing Posts (2/4/2005 6:01:34 PM)

Add one more to the body of evidence! I'm missing mail too - read it early this morning and then went back to reply tonight and it's gone.

I think you are right. I noticed earlier today that the system froze up for awhile. And when I returned 30 minutes later, all of the posts from today (Friday) were gone. It was like a Twlight Zone episode! [sm=tongue.gif]

I just checked my mail folder and all of my old mail is there... but I sent one this morning and its gone too. (shrug)

liltxsubby -> RE: Missing Posts (2/4/2005 6:33:11 PM)

So are the posts that were made last night and are now gone going to return or not? Does anyone have any idea? I don't want to re-post the same thing if they're going to show up again.

strongnsubmissiv -> RE: Missing Posts (2/4/2005 7:02:58 PM)

I'm missing posts too.. and i got notification of a new email today, to a letter that i had already received.

Odd.. somethings up.
