Sorry, I have to disagree, the TP goes under.  It cuts off better that way.     As far as Brand, I used to prefer Scott, but i've taken a liking to Angel Soft lately.

Who in their right mind would load the toilet paper so that it rolls from an "under" position? This is madness. Barbaric madness is what it is.

justheather, I solved the "over or under" question.
I've never had a roll of toilet paper on the holder in this condo since it was brandnew 2 years ago!
The plastic packing is still on the toilet paper dispensers like they were brandnew.
I simply put the roll on the floor within easy reach.
Works great!

TP? Wad! Also it goes over not under on the roll.

yes!!!   someone who finally agrees with me.   lol.
The TP ALWAYS goes OVER not under.
thank you LaTigresse!
~laughin~

In my house, TP goes over for a VERY logical reason...it's harder for the cats to pull it off the roll if they don't have a dangly piece to start with. See? All very well thought out. Now, do what I say! LOL

Oh, and for the record, I DID participate in the TP discussion.

<~ just a little anal about the TP issue  ( no pun intended) but i shudder to see a roll not in it's proper holder...and really prefer over the top.

That being said, i love my country, i love my countrymen, and i love those who defend it.  However , i hate those that we (and i use the term loosely) have chosen to rule/own it.  (yes i vote...but the unfortunate thing is i usually feel like i am choosing the lesser of evils instead of the best canidate)

Oops forgot to to address the OP.   I think off topic is just the proper place for stuff like politics...religion...yada yada...i have varied  opinions as to why people want to talk about these topics, some are less than flattering so i'll keep them to myself.

Back to the OP,

Most people come to message boards to talk about things that they cannot talk about in real life. This board being a classic example as not many of us are going to talk about what is the best form of punishment or about golden showers to our co-workers and friends. So I think other topics like politics or religion are also things that for people who are truly interested in have a tough time finding people in the real world to talk about more then in sound bite form. Now why does this stuff happen on this off topic board and why not all of us just go to some political board? I cannot speak for others, but I do post to a political message board, but I have found that the people here, even if they are the same and consistent, are refreshingly not so zealot and jaded and even if I dissagree tend to actually talk about the subject and not just rip on people and parties compared to the political boards I read.

Now certainly the amount of political threads can be contributed to the elections as that has been the big news for quite some time. All I know is that I am not aware of the moderators not putting a limit on new threads so political threads are not preventing other ones from being posted and I am also not aware of people being prevented in commenting on non political threads. If people do not want to see the off topic area full of topics they do not care for then they should feel free and start threads that interest them.

......ultimately everything comes back to politics........in a society the way we organise our lives affects virtually all aspects of our lives. To be bored of politics is to be bored of life.

I find it interesting that in our off-topic section, which could be about any subject at all, I usually come here and find it full of politics...why is this so?

People start threads about things that interest them. Then other people post on the thread because they are interested in that topic. Popularity of politics as a topic of conversation is selected rather democratically.. if it interests you then you post, if it doesn't then you pass it by.

If I started a thread on underwater basket weaving it would probably not get too many replies. The key is to start threads, if people are interested they post. People that are tired of politics need to be proactive and start threads on other topics instead of being unhappy with threads about politics... people that want to talk about politics should be able to, no one forces anyone to post anywhere...

*kisses ur shiny head* but unless they killed more than 3 people they dont count as serial killers

By all accounts they drank enough blood to have killed 333 people and if drinking the last drop of blood from someone is not a lust killing then you may as well hang up your serial killing lust boots because it's over.

lol at the don't count as serial killers - "if you haven't murdered 16 then don't waste my time pretending you're evil, I need evil not wannabees!"

As for the shiney head, well, you know, it's on display for a reason

Anyway, look them up, a right vicious pack of women.
