Just looking for any and all opinions on this from any and all.
In the past, I have received email which is so groveling, I tend to ignore it. Recently this vein of communication seems to be picking up again. I have submissives and slaves who write to Me in "Holy Prayer" giving Me praise and glory, and asking permission to print My photo and make a shrine for their quiet meditation and prayer. I personally define as Goddess and use it in My screen identity in order to signify the type of D/S that I practice. I do not consider this to mean that I am a deity, nor do I wish to be considered one.
I do not consider a submissive or slave spending time in the corner bowing to My picture to be appropriately serving Me. I would rather have My dinner cooked and My feet massaged. Am I totally off base here? When I say I deserve to be worshipped and adored, I intend that in a more substantive sense. Wash My car. Don't pray to Me.
I just did a quick search and stopped as soon as I hit "last online" in 2004. Just in January and the first few days of Feb 2005, I found 136 screen identities with Goddess in the name., This was a total after subtracting any submissives who were using the term in their own identieis (i.e. goddessworshipper as a fictitious example). I cannot take the time to read all the profiles, so perhaps I am wrong in assuming that at least most of these other Ladies also choose this title as a signal of their domination style.
Are others, whether or not using this type of identity, getting the same type of email? Where does this mindset come from? I understand that there are some who enjoy this type of homage, but is it more common that I realized? I would like to hear from subs and slaves also on this.

What a fascinating question. There is definitely a spiritual dimension in D/s - there are quite a number of articles written on it, but I don't think I have seen one about actually worshipping their dominant.

I wonder if it is a bit of role play for them. They can enhance their feelings of submissiveness, and identity as a sub, by interacting with an image of their Dominant (which they can do on their own time, whenever they want, as often as they want).

But that is just a guess. I went through all the male profiles which had Goddess in the title but none of them mentioned actual worship.

Well, I hardly think anyone with a bucket on their head can speak...but I digress.

There are folks who play at Goddess-worship in their relationships--I can think of two couples I know who do this. Some are fairly serious about it, and others do it playfully.

If you find the behavior you describe irritating, perhaps you should put a brief disclaimer in your profile?

From a submissive point of view. I think it's harmless. The feelings that a sub can have for a Domme are extremely powerful. So powerful that it can totally rule their lives and totally comsume their hearts and minds. It's an intangilble power. However, it is all powerful. I think for a sub to build a shrine and pray to a Mistress is understandable and one of the highest forms of worship. I think you should be flattered and encourage it. It's a release for the sub. This reminds me of an online Mistress that I had. After an online session, she would have me go and masterbate while I repeat her name over and over until I came. It was a powerful tool and I considered it a form of worship and even a type of prayer to her. At least that's how I felt.

I, in the past got all the "may I save your pics" , can I worship you, you are a true beauty.. and on and on.. I am sure many of the females here have had it at one time or another. I removed my pictures, I get enough mail on most days, I don't need the "humlby waiting to be your toilet" or "may I drink your bath water" emails. There was in particular I did in fact find funny, but have seen it used in other places, so he achieved an F in the originality department. But he told me he would eat a mile of my shit just to kiss my ass....*L*

I typically ignore the ones that send all these kinds of mails. Since I do not have the luxury of blocking people from sending me. I simply delete it. If they contine I gently remind them of the Tos and that generating email after email of offensive behavior is against the rules, and many have lost their acounts over it. That usually gets my point across to them..;)

There are many Alternate Lifestylers whom also practice the wiccan religion hence when a Dominant uses the word Goddess in Her name many times those with in the religion "ass sume"
that the person whom holds or chooses this name is also of the same religion and seeks to be worshipped.

For the most part, I've always viewed the "Goddess worshipers" with some degree of skepticizm. In a play sort of setting, this can be all fine, as long as folks understand that you are visiting "Goddesshood", you don't live there.

A significant number of subs I have had contact from online seem to have a thing for the unattanable woman. A perfect, Dommely, always correct and never-to-be questioned Goddess. As soon as a female shows signs of being real, be that having concerns, or being *gasp* incorrect, or even just being affectionate and accepting them, that sub is off in search of a new better TRUE Goddess.

I'm a real person. All the dominants I know are real people. I like to lounge around in my ratty PJ's on the weekend and watch really bad B movies. Not very Goddess-like, I'm sure. But then again, I've always wanted subs and bottoms that like me, not their fantasy image of me.

Yes, it would seem that each of the worshippers (as well as each of the Goddesses) quoted seem to have a different take on goddess worship. ... although Female Supremacy seems to be a common thread.

I can see how you would feel that worship is a complete waist of your slaves time. I think in some ways you are correct. I personally enjoy worship. For me I enjoy knowing that in situations where my slave is not 24/7 that he or she had dedicated time in my honor when they for whatever reason are not in my presents. I do agree that I much more enjoy my truck being washed or the back yard being cleaned of doggie mess, but it adds to the control for me. Of course now I think that I could be off base. I want a shrine to me in all of my slaves lives. I really don't know anyones else like me, but I have only been a practicing Goddess for less than 5 years and don't actually know any other dominant women face to face. Well, this is what I think.
