Arizona is too close to call right now (8:50PM).  But two Senate seats are up for grabs.

I do think the Dems will take both houses...

Hello A/all,

Blackwell was implicated by R.F. Kennedy Jr. as being the man almost single handedly responsible for election scandal in Ohio.

And he is no longer employed.

Life is good.

Wyoming has a democrat govenor... so does TN. It really looks like it might be almost a complete sweep or nearly one.. all I can say is wow.

Sinergy -> RE: Who's winning? (11/7/2006 8:11:17 PM)

Nancy Pelosi (D, Ca) is the new speaker of the House of Representatives.

If the Dems do take over could you guys do us a favor?
GET US OUT OF IRAQ!

And I hope it doesn't take 2 years to do it.
This should be a Mandate for Bush after 2,800 of our Troops killed, many more seriously wounded and $400 B of our Taxdollars pissed away!
"Hey Bush! Bin Laden is in PAKISTAN!"
"Not Iraq!"

I am not a Democrat, although I did vote like one today.

But I would be torn between throwing Monkeyboy and Shotgun in jail for war crimes and violations of constitutional law they swore to uphold.

or

Packing us up from Iraq and coming home.

Even on the Senate, 2 more seats up for grabs...

Sinergy, I voted for all Independants wherever I could.
If it said "D" or "R" only I just didn't vote for either.
I think "Protest Votes" are important too.

NavyDDG54 -> RE: Who's winning? (11/7/2006 9:25:46 PM)

todays results so far have been disappointing.  Thank god it looks like the senate will stay red. The democrats dont care and have never cared about the US military and those of us who serve in it...as John Kerry (aka jon carry) said to California students...got to college or get stuck in Iraq, that to me was no slip. That was a direct insult to me and every single one of us who volunteered years out of lives to wear this uniform and fight this war.  I joined after the war started, so did many of the current servicemembers....we are not fighting a war we didnt want to. We joined knowing there was a good chance we'll go to war. In Iraq.  Dont use us as political pawns. We sacrifice too much for our country for you to use us like that.

Foxer55 -> RE: Who's winning? (11/7/2006 9:29:27 PM)

Repeating myself from aother thread...

Whatever the case, history will reflect, that in the closing pages of the first chapter of the Long War, the terrorists won.

Ah, the night wouldn't have been complete without someone saying the terrorists won!

And yet, in a deeper and sadder sense, that's probably true. On a single day, terrorists turned the home of the brave into a nation so fear-bound that it sacrificed its principles and its stature by holding people without charge or due process, shredding the Geneva Conventions to practice torture and humiliation, eroding its citizens' rights to privacy, and launching a war under false pretenses. The terrorists drove America to betray herself again and again; and that is, it breaks my heart to say, no small victory.

Lordandmaster -> RE: Who's winning? (11/7/2006 9:48:53 PM)

You know, unlike every member of the current presidential administration--with the sole exception of Donald Rumsfeld--John Kerry actually served in the armed forces.

For me, an admittedly partisan Democrat, tonight's results suggest that maybe you really can't fool all of the people all of the time.

I was starting to wonder.

Navy DDG-54, this is not about you guys.
EVERYONE supports our Troops!
I'm a Vietnam Era Navy Veteran and when I got out and told people that a few of them wouldn't even talk to me even though I wasn't in Vietnam but in the Middle East, Med, and N. Africa.
This election is about Bush and his policies or lack thereof.
A majority of  The People want our guys out of Iraq.
It's now gone on longer than WW2.
Bin Laden isn't in Iraq.
A majority of The People want our border with Mexico secured or closed and for our immigration laws to be enforced.
Bush has done nothing.
A majority of The People want all this "outsourcing" of good paying jobs overseas stopped.
The big corporations are making a killing off of this and the middle class is getting killed.
Again, Bush has done nothing.

When you're in the White House and you don't do what The People want you to do, The People get pissed and vote you out or vote your friends out.
It's politics and has no bad reflection on our Troops at all.

Wow, so many delusions apparent in one statement. Kudos for tight packing.

Foxer, I meant our current Active Duty Troops.
Kerry, Murtha and I served 35-45 years ago.
