Don't worry, I'm not saying it's a bad question. It's just two things I would've never put together personally.
I'm going to venture a guess on this based on experience, since I do maintain relationships with both male and female subs. These are generalizations, but feel to me to be fairly consistent:
Male submissives seem far more VISUALLY stimulated and often have an "image" of the dominatrix in their minds. Capturing that image and recreating it for them is key to recreating their fantasies and hooking into their thinking.
Female submissives present as more ethereal about their submission. They are often emo based/driven and respond to questioning about their feelings moreso than the appearance of something. (Although fetishes still come into play, as does environment, but not so nitty-gritty as the males seem to be.)
