Well children, I just saw Borat. It's too long, and some of the humor is sophomoric, but it also includes scenes I won't soon forget. And I don't think I'll ever forget the line "If I am give you good price, will you install pussy magnet?"

Anyway, the one serious theme of the movie is something that Europeans have faced for a while now, but that we in America are only gradually beginning to appreciate: immigrants from other countries often arrive with social attitudes dating to the same century as their economic systems. We've mostly overlooked this because our immigrants tend not to blow up buildings, but Europeans are getting more and more frustrated with immigrants who seem to want more than a slice of the pie; they also want to live in a world that reflects the same old-world biases as the countries they left behind. Politicians have been murdered over this in Holland, "honor" killings among Turkish guest-laborers is a serious problem in Denmark, and those of you who follow European affairs know that the situation has nearly reached the breaking point among North African immigrants in France.

But we're starting to face this in the States, too. There's been a big controversy lately in Minneapolis, which has a large Somali immigrant population, and many Muslim taxi drivers refuse to pick up passengers whom they see coming out of liquor stores. My view is, hey, if you come to Americay for to make large moneys, you are also must learn and respect American values. But that's controversial.

i have a French friend who has told me single French women in His neighborhood must be escorted, by a Man or Men, or by a big, threatening dog, in order to get past the gangs of Muslim teenagers. Yes, W/we have a gang problem here in the US, but they don't generally get together and beat down a single woman. It is incomprehensible to me.

We are seeing the movie this afternoon with some very straight-laced God-fearing Republican types. I'm not sure which will be more fun, the movie, or their reactions to it.

This is an issue associated with the separation of church and state Islamic law is not valid within a western secular society. Some say this makes Muslims second class citizens but similar laws affect western faiths such as having to work on a Sunday.

In most places in Europe people speak of cultural diversity in a positive way and mention people from various groups mixing with one another but this never happens in reality. What seems to happen these days is that communities become isolated from one another which then leads to misunderstandings and ultimately race riots.

Given all this it’s strange that we still have faith based schooling which forces children to grow up isolated from one another. Don’t even get me started on R.C. schools refusing to teach Darwin’s theories of evolution in a science lesson but instead opting to teach creationism.

Religion and the institutions of state should not be mixed up and confused in this way in my view. I can refuse to drive someone who is drunk and will vomit all over my car but not someone whose beliefs I disagree with. If George Bush needed a ride in my cab I would have to say hop in. Then I would press this button that locks the doors and puts up that glass separation panel thing like in the 007 films, we all know what come next. The post was going so well as well. Then I had to go ruin it.

     Okay, I'm stll laughing pretty hard and I've been prohibited from using my new Khazaki accent during sex (guess I'll have to strap her down to make my explosion of love on her stomach).

     And the conservatives? She laughed so hard she was crying and still wiping her eyes when we parted company in the parking lot.

      Quite possibly the crudest thing I've ever seen that wasn't on VHS.
