Interesting.
Perhaps, not realizing that bullet proof vests are designed to capture a round, it still bruises the wearer most deeply, at times a cracked rib or two. The larger the bullet/round the more it will slow the impact force of entry. Yet, against the .22 caliber bullet, it is more likely to pass through the vest and wound the wearer.
So, it must be understood, that unless you were wearing an additional plate of metal; a standard bullet proof vest would not stop a .22 or armour piercing jacketed rounds, ice picks and darts. Since the Kevalar is woven fabric.
And, it would be fun target practicing to aim for the exposed areas around the arm pits and the like. Buttocks, thighs and knees are also good crippling targets--ankles and feet also. Delicate bones you see.
As far as the flash grenades--the flash in some dominant's eyes would be just like the glitter of some 'bling.' [Chuckles] Might cause stampede instead of frightening dominants who, if anything like me,
could always use another piece of jewelry.
