Okay.. I have sent a quick, short emails to a couple doms asking why they have blank profiles. The email states that I am just curious why this is, but I get no answer from them. (Is this to be considered rude?? based on previous threads?)

Anyway.. having gotten no answer there, I come here. Why is this done? Should one assume that they have everything they want and just have the profile to access the boards? I even asked one if that was why and got no answer...

Ah well, maybe here I will receive some enlightenment.

I think that alot of them just set up a profile, albeit a blank one, just so that they can go trolling through the submissive profiles on here.

I set up a fairly blank profile because I am not seeking a submissive and am here for the message boards and eventually the chat rooms. However I do answer each e-mail I receive. I had hoped that the lack of detail would reduce the amount of e-mails and so far I have been right.

I think some are un creative, some do not want to put up a personal becouse they are ust here for the message boards and so on, many explenations.

This profile has NO info it it. And yes, it's so that I can access the forums without increasing the post count on my "regular" profile. I don't want to hit 501 and have the symbol change, so I created a new one.

Since I'm not looking, I don't need to put anything in a profile to attract people. I'm sure there are plenty of other reasons as well.

People have various reasons for not completing profiles. it doesn't really bother me either way, although I am highly unlikely to talk to somebody who's contacted me and doesn't have one.

I have difficulity expressing myself in words. What is in my profile may sound sort of bland, but if someone wants to get to know me they just need to ask the questions. I have always been open and honest. Yes Im still looking.

i am all for more "Dom" profiles with no info.. means there is a better chance of myself and others like me to "score" with less competition.
Unfortunately there are way to many "doms" that are in reality NOT but are just trolling for some quick sex..

Are you making the assumption that everyone here is seeking to hook up with someone off the messageboards. I would like to suggest that some people dont necessarily wish to have contact directly from other people. And why would it bother you if someone has chosen not to fill out their profile?

I don't know, having absolutely no information in a profile except for that which is required seems sort of like walking up to a stranger and saying "Hi" and expecting them to share their life with you. Yes, I have recieved emails from a lot of submissives/slaves with nothing written in their profile asking "if I would consider them". My repy is pretty much standard... "There are a lot of things I would consider if I had more information about it." So it isn't just Doms, it's everyone. If you are here for the soul purpose of using the forums and/or chat, great! I don't have a problem with that at all. But if you are looking for that "special someone" in your life I think you should take a few minutes and write something, even if it's just a recipe for your favorite cookie...... It shows that you are willing to at least put forth some effort.

Hello....just a quick word....I rarely talk to folks with no info on profile..its like they're hiding something or too lazy to put up or shut-up...either case,not our type.

blank profiles are one thing, but i haven't been able to figure out why i get blank letters...lol. i'm not sure if it's just their way of getting me to look at their profiles, or not, so i just delete...

i am a person like you have described i have no profile but as i am still new in this i needed to learn who i am and what i realey like.And as i have done this i realized i am NOT a dom but much more on the submissave side and thats ok with me to but i needed the time to look and learn more and am still learning.As i learn more i will put a profile up and then you can see how i realey feel . Thanks

I have very little in my profile because (quite simply), I do not care.

I am not here to pick anyone up, I am not here to troll profiles, and I am not here to reveal my innermost thoughts on the world through my blog (as though I don't do that in the postings anyway)... some friends and other people know me from the moniker I use; and, that is fine by itself.

And, yes - it is still rude in some ways for people to not respond to you.

Chilli - I guess it didn't dawn on me that someone who was here just for the boards would not at least state that in their profile. Silly me. I mean it would certainly make sense if that is the only reason you are here.

As to why I contacted them.. I was curious. They were all local. I am seeking to learn. What better way to learn than to ask and I prefer talking to people on Yahoo or face to face. I have learned a lot here, but the response time is not always very immediate.

I have gotten to the point now when someone emails me, I first check their profile, if its blank, I tell them that, because their profile is blank, before I will converse with them they have to tell me something about themselves. Strange.. but I never hear another word from them.

So, for those who have blank profiles, why don't you put in them things like: Here for the forums. Not looking, just want to have the journel going. ??

It would certainly make things a lot clearer for everyone.
