Okay, I know some might wish this were listed on the 'random stupidity' board, but I think sometimes it is not stupid to say NICE things once in a while.

Especially in an atmosphere where we all seem to be deeply divided over issues like politics.

We are all still human, and still approach each other with respect and dignity.  So here is how this will work .... we say something NICE about someone on the board! (or heck, even about someone famous, or whatever).

*BUT* please do not say something nice that is couched with an insult to, or about someone else .... i.e. "I like Hilary because Bush is a yucky-stink pants!" <--- no good.

Okay, I will go first.

I genuinely LIKE Synergy.  He may disagree with my political views, but I can tell he ernestly cares, and that shows he has a heart.

This diehard Democrat thinks Conrad Burns and George Allen deserve credit for not going the recount route, with its agony and divisiveness.

Like whom, CrazyC?  Give 'em a shout out!

"This diehard Democrat thinks Conrad Burns and George Allen deserve credit for not going the recount route, with its agony and divisiveness. "

dcnovice - Props here!  We've had enough of recounts!

I give another - I like MissToYou - one of the most intelligent women who's opinions I have had the pleasure to read.

Naturally, I honestly really do like everyone on this board for their basic humanity and many for theit individuality!  I KNOW I will leave some folk out, and certainly could not them all.  If I list a few through this thread, please understand there is no particular order!

The limit on CollarMe message size, prevents me from listing all the good thoughts I have about the people here.

There is a person that nobody here knows. Her name is Joan, and she suffered a tragic event not that long ago that destroyed her life as she knew it, forever. On top of that, she lives with a cloud over her head ... her condition could kill her in thirty years, or thirty seconds from now. Through all her loss and suffering, and she is doing some, she has kept better spirits and handled it better than anyone else around her. I have always known that she is a person of exceptional character and fortitude, but never knew how much inner strength she has. We work hard as a family to be supportive of her, yet find that we are unworthy, as she lends much more support to us.

Okay, okay.

There are tons of good and interesting folks here at CM -- fergus, you're one of them, threads like this shows you have a good heart, and you're the kind of person I'd like as a neighbor.... trust me, coming from me that is a big compliment LOL.

I'm not naming everyone I think well of here, it'd take too long and I'd leave someone out and I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. I learned my lesson on that a while back, I think. I'll just say there are some awesome folks here, some are confounded liberals, some are confounded conservatives, some are Americans, some are not, some are hot hot hot, some I'd be proud to call brother.

CM has filled a spot in my life that was created a little over a year ago, and I am grateful for that.

Thanks Level ... I think you're 'good people' too.  And if you knew me, you'd know that statement means something to me.

I know your trepidations on leaving someone out without meaning to!  Still in all ... it is really nice to be able to say positive things about people ... and that sometimes includes specific positive things.  Everyone needs to hear that once in a while.

So, how about this?  If you are a person reading this, and feel bad that you were 'left out' (no matter how inintentional) ... then jump right in and post something positive yourself!  About you, or about someone else (kind of like paying ot forward).

I am going to say that two of my most favourite posters that just out and out always make me feel good are Ron and Benji. They never fail to bring a smile to my face.

An intelligent sense of humour is one of the most wonderful qualities a human being can have.

Oh there are many that make my day and bring a smile to my face and sometimes just when I'm ready to say good bye to the CM, they make me realize, ah you aint going no where, you love reading their words too much you'd miss them you're addicted.  I'm not going to name names, I think some know who they are and like some have said you're always going to leave out someone and with my neuro problems that more likely than not.   I'll just say, some I share favorite TV shows with, (picture never received), some we'd rip each others hearts out if we were to partner up, one, can't get off using black people for most of his analogies  some just have such sweet soles and then there's those that ride hump back and some that could use some anger management, but I wouldn't want them to change for any phony smiling back stabber in the world and then there are those wonderful sweet soles that always have something inspiring to say, that for a minute, brings me back down to earth and causes me to reflect and remember, even if just for a moment, its so worth it to say something nice before reporting back to duty    ...........Rosa

.....i thoroughly enjoy how these fora let me get to better know opinions that i don't share......Popeye is a good example, he and i rarely agree (though sometimes we do) but he has earned my respect through his honesty and consistency.
