Ron is a Delphi oracle? I thought they were only women?

And Ron.. laurel leaves are bad for you.. you really shouldn't eat them.

LaTigresse -> RE: BDSM Oracle (delphi style) of Collarme (11/16/2006 8:35:36 AM)

I vote we have a moose roast!!

mnottertail -> RE: BDSM Oracle (delphi style) of Collarme (11/16/2006 9:36:22 AM)

Everybody has got this all wrong.....it is misinterpreted....

Ron likes to get oral, that's all I ever said........I am not touting any database programs here.

I will accept the gift of 10,000 virgins gracefully, but in my advancing years, I may not be able to get thru all of them, but I am a man and will give it a shot.

Ron

Do look me up.

Ron

Majik -> RE: BDSM Oracle (delphi style) of Collarme (11/16/2006 11:09:32 AM)

Hey Ron how about 10,000 VIRGIN wool socks? That way you will have something to soak up all the c....err...n/m...I'll keep looking for the virgins.=P

In my country we have cleanest virgins in Central Asia.  45% of them have not sexually transmit diseases.

That was hilarious.  Go give Ron a run for His money (or virgins)...lmao.

I am happy to see, that the thread got not pulled. Yesterday it appeared

not in my subscriptions so i thought it was gone.

Than today i find a post that informs me about its new place.

Funnily i really had two reasons for opening this one, firstly appreciating
Ron and his style and with this all styles extraordinaire, and secondly
learn something about how other posters perceive the different kinds of
posting.

That i had to made the second thread

http://www.collarchat.com/m_684244/tm.htm

was very good, because i learned monogoal threads are better:-).

LOD: A temple is fine, but if i renember correctly, the women who served

as oracles lived more in cave, a decorated one. A lot of virgins are great,

although i doubt their ongoing use after been burned.....

Does anybody know a ritual with burning virgins and oracling over the

remains?

Quivver: When i understood another thread right, this Xfish tastes strange,

but certainly good for celebration, even if the oracle is the only taker.

CrazyC: Cutting to the point, as Ron later on declares.

candystripper: Ron is blonde? *g

topcat: This had me chuckling and let me suspect you have  - like me -

read some Science Fiction?

Katylied: beautiful worded.

TNS: body parts has a bit of a double meaning....connected ones?

Emperor1956: Still laughing, a wonderful idea, the parts i do not

understand about this mighty machine will my beloved explain when he

comes home.

LaM: The simple solutions are often times the best.

gooddogbenji: If 10.000 virgins were necessary to let the oracle oracling,

you would be right, but that is still a rumour.....

Borat: Nice to have you in this thread and certainly fitting.

Lorelei115: Delphi style i used, because Ron (as far as i know) is a  man. I meant in the kind of but not exactly the same, if this usage of style is wrong in english, i would be happy to learn about it.

La Tigresse: Than a big BBQ place is needed.

mnottertail: In writing my post i noticed the oral/oracle. Do you think that your constant use of the word oral brought me to start this thread?

Majik: Maybe you are the first who had virgins and woolsocks in one sentence and it still contains a little sexual joke. Respect!

Thank you all for your replies, although i wrote not to everybody something back.

I don't remember the actual ritual, but i am pretty sure i have read about it somewhere. That the oracle sees the images in the ashes to do the proclamation.

CrazyC: Cutting to the point, as Ron later on declares.

Only know how to cut to the point. :D And if we are going to honor Ron...why not in Ron style?

Majik: Maybe you are the first who had virgins and woolsocks in one sentence and it still contains a little sexual joke. Respect!

Being that Ron lives in MN, woolsocks and virgins will be needed when the wind facter hits below 0.

ZenDragoness -> RE: BDSM Oracle (delphi style) of Collarme (11/18/2006 4:19:41 AM)

There are rituals were remains and ashes are used for the process of oracling, but i never read about one which included virgins. If you have a scientific source for that, i would be most interested. Like a lot of europeans, i have a vivid interest in history.

koimizu -> RE: BDSM Oracle (delphi style) of Collarme (11/18/2006 5:37:36 AM)

Call me crazy but i thought the oracles of Delphi were poor things subjected to nearly constant exposure to  poisonous vocanic gases so that their incoherent, semi-lucid babblings could be interpreted by greedy priests to the paying masses?

Or was that Psychic Friends Network?  You know...i tend to confuse the two.  >.>

On a side note, the virgins could be vestal or sacred virgins like those associated with the sign of Virgo.  Virgins of the harvest that were regularly and thoroughly ....*ahem* ...annointed to ensure a fruitful harvest.

Do you think Sir Ron would object to ensuring a healthy harvest this year?  *grins*

The post above by me is a reply to crazy c and is concrete about burning, ashes and virgins, not about Delphi.

As i explained some posts ago i am not an ignorant user of a  the word Delphi, but i used Delphi in the sense of in delphian style. An old oracle, nearly the oracle! It is in a conversation with  europeans indeed possibly to say: You are sounding like the oracle of delphi! and to be understood. The word and meaning of delphi has in our language (german) developed and it is possible to use it in a historic and a contemporay meaning. If that is in american not the case, i understand a lot or irritation.

I think a good harvest is always fine and there is an album by Neil Young called harvest i really love.

I wouldn't be able to find scientific fact, because it was from a discussion among pagan scholares. There is also a saying that outlaws were used in burning sacrafices. Hence the burning man came from. These are all historical, and i said it off hand to make a joke of it. I take history very seriously, but at the same time know when to have fun. And if you know anything about history, there are many things we don't know because there were societies that didn't write anything down or when conquired by another their writes were all distroyed.

ZenDragoness -> RE: BDSM Oracle (delphi style) of Collarme (11/28/2006 2:25:12 AM)

I take history as serious as you, i even made it a priority in my politic, economic  and theatrical science university grades, hence my question. A discussion among pagan scholares sounds incredibly interesting.

Everything that touches the early history of mankind  is my scientific hobby interest, especially in a religous and/or sociologal context.

If i would not like to make fun of something, i would not have openend that thread. This is one of the reasons, that i love to read this board, a lot of people who are able to joke  in so many different ways. The possibility here is, what i love in life. Learning and laughing at the same time.

This should read theatre sciene (leaning towards movies, 2 years after i left they divided in theatre and movie science), but my error made me laugh, because around 90 percent of the people had a strong theatralic streak. A lot were hoping to become actors or directors and used their time at our faculty for trying again and again to enter the art universities/academies.
