I could use some suggestions about what to put in my profile actually, and also how to get acquainted with people or introduce myself to people here. It seems like it would be easiest if I could just say something to the effect of, "Hey, you seem like a cool person, lets chat, I'm so and so on AIM..." and just chat for a few minutes to find out if we're at all compatible.
I could be totally wrong on this, but the impression I'm getting is that the emails are supposed to be really well thought out, which to me is strange since it's only an introduction. To spend a couple hours just to send an introduction to someone who may not even like your picture or a particular keyword in your profile, seems a bit excessive. I just seem to have difficulty writing to people I dont know, I guess, and that may be making my search a bit more difficult.
Anyway, give me your thoughts. Any input is very much appreciated.
