In that I haven't decided, here's my posit:

Should I be a prick?

I'm a guy, after all...I can do that.

Should I be incredibly kind

I generally am.

So many questions....

Too many to decide tonight.

Don't seem right
I've been strung out here all night
I've been waiting for the taste
You said you'd bring to me
Biscayne Bay
Where the Cuban gentlemen sleep all day
I went searching for the song
You used to sing to me
Katy lies
You could see it in her eyes
But imagine my surprise
When I saw you

No woman no cry, no woman no cry
Little darling, don't shed no tears, no woman no cry
Say, say, said I remember when we used to sit
In the government yard in Trenchtown
And then Georgie would make the fire light
As it was, love would burn on through the night
Then we would cook cornmeal porridge
Of which I'll share with you
My fear is my only courage
So I've got to push on thru
Oh, while I'm gone

I am not sure I have ever heard a more poignant love song.

Roland was a warrior,
from the land of the midnight sun,
with a Thompson gun for hire,
fighting to be done,
the deal was made in Denmark,
on a dark and stormy day................

Show me the way
To the next whisky bar
Oh, don't ask why

Well, show me the way
To the next little girl
Oh, don't ask why

      -The Doors

I don't know if they wrote it, I think it as an older song they covered
edited to add the bad little girl part

And if the band you're in starts singing different tunes, I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

You have admitted your fault and will now specify the punishment?

What is the world coming to?

Kurt Weill and Bertholdt Brecht, "The Alabama Song" from the opera Mahogonny.  It shows you the depths of Jim Morrison to realize he was listening to the hardest to get thru of the Weill/Brecht opus about 20 years before it was "rediscovered".

Oh, and:

She was standing at the load-in, when the trucks rolled up.
She was sniffin' all around like a half-grown female pup.
She wasn't hard to talk to, looked like she had no place to go.
So I gave her a pass so she could come in and see the show.

"It's the same thing," he said.

Thank you for the detail.  I recall them talking about that song during the VH1 show Storytellers where different singers stood in for Jim Morrison and did songs with The Doors.  Ian Astbury sang the Alabama Song.
