Provided both parties are willing & all know what to expect (limits, toy usage, expectations, et al.) then it's fine. But, I think it is of the utmost importance that EVERYONE knows everyone else and are very comfortable with each other. Also, imho, the sub/slave's Master/Mistress should always be present.
