While I do get the impression that you rushed into this too fast and are now having to make up for a lot of skipped steps...that's the story with almost everyone here, including me.  So while I am concerned for your own journey and where it will take you, your questions themselves have nothing wrong with them.

One might ask- who upset you to the point of having to start this thread and why do you allow them to hold so much sway?

Hey, don't sweat it. As said previously, all of us are/were new at some point. I've never had any prob with any of your posts or thought them stupid. Also, being very shy myself, I most definitely empathize and understand on initiating contact with strangers and those you don't know very well. Feel free to message me if you like. I always welcome new friends. I agree with others who've said for you to get some female friends you can talk to and some in your area that you can spend time with. Take care and if you have questions on things, keep asking/posting threads on them, etc. It's a good way to gain some knowledge, besides doing a lot of reading and interacting whenever you can.

God is it nice to know i'm not the only one who feels like this right now. i've been starting to think i shouldn't post because when i ever i do the stand suddenly dies.

i know what you mean - i was thinking of renaming my profile 'thread killer' <lol>

But to be honest, you haven't done the sort at all. So please don't stop asking or replying. You can only learn when you start asking.

(by the way...this strand is not allowed to die just because i posted.)

Thanks hon, and same to you, i ike reading your posts :0)

wench hon ((HUGS)we have ALL been there.. Im sorry i dont care what anyone says not a one of us would rather search the thousends of posts here to find the answers we seek when a question has already been asked why would me when we can just ask again and get responses that are new and emediate. Plus who wants to read posts from people who have long since left CM anyway!!!! And even the sanctamoniouse buggers that complain and whine "use the search button this question has been asked a million times" Would sooner post a new thread then go and search for the old ones(Ok with the exeption of maybe LA). People get anoyed seeing the same question well sucks for them they dont gotta read the thread the X button works real well for makeing things we dont like here go *poof*

sooo (huggss again) dont let it get you down I havent seen any post from you that wasnt any good your always kind when writeing and its a plessure to have you join us here on the boards!!!

Magik's slave

Thankyou. i did just jump into posting and had only read for a brief while beforehand, and i think living the lifestyle without input from anyone else, maybe my experiences have been different than for people who take an active part in their local scene. i didn't rush into BDSM itself, i had been with Master for years before W/we took things to that stage but again maybe the lack of outside knowledge is telling. This is why i consider myself 'new' to this, not based on how much experience i have with my Owner, but on general BDSM awareness.

One might ask- who upset you to the point of having to start this thread and why do you allow them to hold so much sway?

i had recieved a number of messages from a Dom which were rude and judgemental, and i have been having a bad week so it got to me more than i would usually have allowed; i couldn't talk about it properly with Master as He is very busy with work, so i did not want to lay any pressure on Him about it though i told Him. The Dom in question told me i was childish and tedious and that He found me whiney and pathetic. i deleted His mails unread after the 4th one and haven't recieved any more so i think He has shut up now.

Cheers,
wench

wench relax and try not to be so hard on yourself. I understand your situation, I have a social anxiety disorder that makes it very hard for me to relate to people outside of my well estblished network. I feel the same way about some of my posts, when they do not get the answers I seek, but alot of the times I can not explain myself online as well as I can in RL. For me part of it is time, cause I can not clarify as I refine that thought online sometimes fear, lately anger....... With Daddy being my only true confidant on a reliable basis, I just take it for granted that everyone knows me as well as he does..... I find that I am usually alot harder on myself than others judgement of me. I enjoy your contribuations and view point very much and hope you come to see your own acceptace here.

Relax wench. like Gauge said "Who cares if someone gets riled"
There really are no stupid questions, we may act like they are now and then, but that's just because the question has been asked a few thousand times.
And as for your replies? meh! don't sweat it. Say what you think or feel or just hijack the damn thread into some utterly unforeseen direction (we tend to do rather a lot of that around CM).
Any woman who is proud to be called a wench is OK in my books - welcome aboard!

i love your sincerity and vulnerability.  It takes tremendous courage to remain open and vulnerable, particularly after someone slams you for no apparant reason.  My guess is most of us  have been there, been hastily and unreasonably judged on this site.  It happened to me within one of my first posts, and confused the living hell out of me, but i took a deep breath and understood that this will probably happen from time to time.  It is not a reflection of you, but more of a reflection of the person who slammed you.

i adore vulnerable people, because for me, it means they have somehow managed to stay open and soft in the face of a sometimes harsh and critical world.  What a wonderful accomplishment that is!  Stay in here

i am diagnosed with a social anxiety disorder too, though i have improved a lot with meds and support.

i understand that, Master is the only person who understands and accepts me as i am, a lot of RL people think i'm being a snob when actually it is nervousness that makes me come across differently from how i'm feeling inside. i have a t-shirt that says 'sometimes i wear my happy mask', i find it difficult to really be me as i am too easily hurt - while at the same time i'm always totally honest if i actually manage to say anything that is.

I find that I am usually alot harder on myself than others judgement of me. I enjoy your contribuations and view point very much and hope you come to see your own acceptace here.

thankyou, you are so lovely to say so abd for taking the time to reply.

i  can see what You mean, for people who have been on here a while it must get somewhat tedious to read the same thing using different words, i don't blame anyone for getting bored of it and saying so.

And as for your replies? meh! don't sweat it. Say what you think or feel or just hijack the damn thread into some utterly unforeseen direction (we tend to do rather a lot of that around CM).

<lol> i do try not to do that, but sometimes i have just read the post above mine and not the entire thread which is a bit lazy of me and can lead to irrelevant replies from me.
Any woman who is proud to be called a wench is OK in my books - welcome aboard!

i have always loved being called a wench since i was a teen, i don't know why, i was so happy when Master chose that name for me without knowing i loved it :0)

And then feel like an idiot. i am new to talking to others in the lifestyle and i guess i have ended up a bit boxed in in many ways, as i have only Master to talk to about the lifestyle and also He is my only true friend in RL. i wanted to apologise if i have irritated anyone by my posts, though i have a lot of experience with Master my social skills with others may be somewhat lacking,
i'm not looking for sympathy or putting myself down by the way, just have a genuine concern that i may be p-ing people off,
wench

I'm new here as well. Give me time. I'm sure I'll be making a thread like this one soon enough.

i guess he thought he had good reason to do it, though he never said what it was.

My guess is most of us  have been there, been hastily and unreasonably judged on this site.  It happened to me within one of my first posts, and confused the living hell out of me, but i took a deep breath and understood that this will probably happen from time to time.  It is not a reflection of you, but more of a reflection of the person who slammed you.

that is what Master said too - there seem to be a lot of really genuine people out there and a few fakes who just want a reaction.

i adore vulnerable people, because for me, it means they have somehow managed to stay open and soft in the face of a sometimes harsh and critical world.  What a wonderful accomplishment that is!  Stay in here

Thankyou so much, i tend to see my vulnerablity as a negative, i'm working on accepting it about myself as i don't want to end up bitter or cold just because people hurt my feelings. i know that i can come across as childlike because of it though and that can invite negative people, i'm not usually as insecure as i have been feeling, i'm just having a bad week really.
Thankyou again, your reply really touched me :0)

As my Mom always told me - there are no stupid questions, only stupid people who never ask and act like they know.  (I can be accused of that too, but will also readily admit it.)  Life is a learning PROCESS ... Just remember, you most likely judge yourself more harsely than others do.  Afterall ... we are sitting over here feeling the same about ourselves.

no that is what I do (note the "i" in caps: you know now that  i am stomping my feet and pouting.)

now, to wench: you are thoughtful and raise interesting questions. it makes me sad to think you might be second-guessing yourself.
