I'm surprised that you didn't post this version of comedic hell.
Generally speaking, "comedic hell" is the timeframe which passes before you realize you are not one step closer than when you started measuring the timeframe... wasting your own time and optimism, at another's leisure. The other can be a partner, associate, or unrelated total stranger... it's still "comedic hell" waiting for the "other" to prove you are just waiting on them to prove you are just waiting on them to prove you are just waiting on them, etc, etc.
Hurry up and wait!
