Who has what toys can mean many things:
Someone who professes to be long time experienced but hasn't collected a reasonably well stocked toy bag over time should have their experience questioned...it is unusual not to have toys...lots of toys if you are a toyslut like me. Having a toybag stuffed with well made gear helps build the trust factor that you are for real and have been around.
We are finding more and more submissives collecting their own toys, mostly for health safety issues. The underlying issue is whether their toybag can become an aspect of topping from the bottom. Many submissives purchasing toys have worries that they will appear that way, when all they really want is to be hit with a flogger that they know the history of. Personally I like when submissives have their own toys, it is very indicative of what works for them, it shows me that they are aware and knowledgeable, it reduces what I need to bring and I don't have the responsibility of health safety when playing again with others. The only thing I have trouble with is if they have cheap toys. When you have used quality toys and gear for years, poorly made toys can take a lot from the scene.
