Right, liberals are just a few shades away from Pol Pot.  Do you expect anyone to take you seriously?

Next I expect you to show us a PEW poll showing that more conservatives than liberals are going to Heaven.

Hi Mnottertail.  Did you see Pol Pot on the Documentary Channel this week?  Another leftist showing his "compassion" for the children.

The middle class give more than the rich percentage wise of income. The poor and middle class are not likely to make a note of every donation for tax purposes. I give money to almost every cause they ask me to at the supermarket, from the homeless, to breast cancer, to veterans groups. I put money in the red kettle every christmas, and I never talk about what I give usually, and if someone called me I would probably not even think of these contributions to be honest.

I think that perhaps liberals give more than this research center states. I am also going to look into who funds the pew research think tank that claims to be nonpartisan. I think these surveys are garbage

Many people give from the heart and don't take tax deductions for it. I doubt you'll find their statistics among the herd though. I don't 'give' anything to 'get' something (like a tax deduction) in return and I know many who feel the same way so I take the whole thing with a hefty dose of salt.

I would say ditto to this if I could stomach "ditto", so I will just say I agree, many people just do not ask for a pat of the back for their giving.

Or that their son gets into Yale or Harvard

Or a wing of a hospital named after them

I am going to be donating 500 dollars in my son's name to a scholarship in the name of a friend of his that passed away, I will not be getting any credit at all for it tax wise, and I do not want credit for it.

Fast Reply:

I think it's absolutely hilarious how some of the posters are all of a sudden "suspicious" of PEW ... when PEW had crap all to do with this thread.

mnottertail gave an explanation of why he mentioned PEW - it was because of a preception of faulty reasoning on the part of the OP, and I could see that, so I said nothing else after he explained his position.

The rest of you .... are being a bit defensive, and looking for a bogie man, or something.  You are manufacturing a straw man to attack.

Funny as hell.
