"Hurt" by Johnny Cash.. yeah i know it's a NIN song, but i prefer The Man in Black's version

either that or "Something I Can Never Have" by Nine Inch Nails

Very dificult to pick one as i have different ones related to part of my life.

Maybe "Boy's don't cry" from the Cure (for several reasons)

"Season's Call," by hyde, Japanese rock musician and vocalist.  The song was composed as a theme song for the anime, "Blood+".

SEASON'S CALL
Lyric: hyde
Music: KAZ

I  go against the wind that twines around me, searching for the lost season
Though they're few, bright memories are aroused as I  follow my course

How many cuts should I  repeat?
How many fates should I  accept?
Does it have an end?

You're always coursing through all my body, nearly overflowing
That's why I'm not afraid of tomorrow
Because I  always feel you in me.

As the good of you flows down my parched throat,
it moistens my heart.
How many cuts should I  repeat?
How many fates should I  accept?
Does it have an end?

If I  could fly across the sky like that far away bird,
I'd always tell you of my great love for you
Because I  always feel you in me.

You taught me how to love. I  feel.
I  can do anything.
I  want to spread out the world I've dreamed of,  before your eyes.
That's why I'm not afraid of tomorrow
My beloved season calls me
Because I  always feel you in me.

Lyrics were originally composed partly in Japanese, part English.  Translation of Japanese lines from www.megchan.com.

Theres a list right now. So I'll give the song and the lyric that I feel makes it a theme song. From tehre you can draw your own conclusions.

Closer-NIN (you let me violate you/ you let me desecrate you)
Pain-3 days grace (pain cant get enough/pain i like it rough/cuz i'd rather feel pain than nothing at all)
So long, Astoria-The ataris (life is only as good as the memories we make)
Boys of summer-the ataris (a little voice inside my head said dont look back/ you can never look back)

Thats all for right now, but theres more. I'll post when I'm not so damn introspective.

My official theme song is "St. Elmo's Fire (Man in Motion)."  Corny, but I don't care -- it gives me motivation when I need it, which is often.

Bump!  What's your theme song?

I've already answered.  I just like this thread too much.

My theme song changes with the need for whatever mood I am in.
Todays choice?
'Walking my cat named dog' by DrHook.
[:D] It is bouncy yet mellow. It is.... Dr Hook. Yay.

HydroMaster -> RE: what is your theme song? (2/10/2007 8:35:17 AM)

Animal I Have Become-Three Days Grace
I'd put Pain as well but too many people latched ono it already

The Metallica version of Star Wars:Imperial March-a few years ago some friends had it played over the entire club's sound system as I walked in for my birthday.  It was very fitting then and still is.

I've always been partial to Lady is a Tramp by Sinatra

" She gets too hungry, for dinner at eight
She loves the theater, but doesn't come late
She'd never bother, with people she'd hate
That's why the lady is a tramp

Doesn't like crap games, with barons and earls
Won't go to Harlem, in ermine and pearls
Won't dish the dirt, with the rest of those girls
That's why the lady is a tramp

She loves the free, fresh wind in her hair
Life without care
She's broke, but it's o'k
She hates California, it's cold and it's damp
That's why the lady is a tramp

Doesn't like dice games, with sharpies and frauds
Won't go to Harlem, in Lincolns or Fords
Won't dish the dirt, with the rest of those broads
That's why the lady is a tramp"

That's Life ~ also Sinatra  That's life, that's what people say.
You're riding' high in April,
Shot down in May.
But I know I'm gonna change that tune,
When I'm back on top in June.

That's life, funny as it seems.
Some people get their kicks,
Steppin' on dreams;
But I don't let it get me down,
'Cause this ol' word keeps getting around.

I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate,
A poet, a pawn and a king.
I've been up and down and over and out
And I know one thing:
Each time I find myself flat on my face,
I pick myself up and get back in the race.

That's life, I can't deny it,
I thought of quitting,
But my heart just won't buy it.
If I didn't think it was worth a try,
I'd roll myself up in a big ball and die. Too many others to mention but these two always put a smile on my face.

MadameMarque -> RE: what is your theme song? (8/27/2007 3:54:13 AM)

What is your theme song?

If they were to play a certain piece of music, to introduce you, every time you made an entrance,

or maybe, if your life had a soundtrack, like a movie, and there was the opening theme, the suspense music, the sexy music, your special theme...

what would your theme song be, right now?

murmur -> RE: what is your theme song? (8/27/2007 4:36:37 AM)

Kiss from a rose, by Collective Soul
Mad world, from Gary Jules
I am displaced, from (guh, cant remember)
some more, but it's too soon for my head to work correctly.

Satyr6406 -> RE: what is your theme song? (8/27/2007 4:41:49 AM)

There are so many songs with which I identify. This is a tough one.

I'm going to have to go with "Mr. Speed" by KISS

Peace and comfort,

Michael

e01n -> RE: what is your theme song? (8/27/2007 5:16:37 AM)

Right now, I'm feeling a bit nostalgic: "I never promised you a rose garden" by The Suicide Machines. A close second: Generation X "Kiss me deadly". Third place: "My Way" as sung my Nina Hagen... I'm in a bit of a punk idiom, I guess.

I don't have a theme song - I have a fully realized orchestral score with multi-disc original soundtrack album. I think Wendy Carlos helped pick some things out along with Pete Tong...
